o2 Home Broadband misbehaving last few days!

Hi Guys,

Is anybody on o2 Home Broadband facing slower webpages and dreadful video streaming, with no end of buffering?

Seems as if one is blaming the other. (ISP v Streaming service)

I have a fast connection with low ping value so is a nuisance.

Yes I have also had this problem as I could not watch the Rugby on Xbox Sky app Friday due to constant buffering.

It was better on Sunday for the F1 but not much.

I understand there was some issue with $ky who now own them.

We too have been having trouble watching movies off Lovefilm instant. Says our broadband strength is not strong enough to support the movie. Annoying as this has never happened before the move to Sky.

It seems to be very selective responses to complaints.

Some people are being told about routing problems and others about mis-applied traffic shaping or fobbed off.

    Google doesn't throw up much.

Complaints on various film streaming services forums/social media.

There were known problems about 9 months ago or so but the problem was located and resolved.

If your speed test results come back ok and streaming is still a problem, it's either a problem with the way the traffic is being routed to the streaming site, a problem with the streaming side or a problem with the device viewing the content.

If it was the way the traffic was being routed though then usually it would affect a large majority of people.

Unless you have specifically joined Sky (by taking up an offer/contract) any issues with your broadband is very much down to O2
