Primark sealed bra refuse to refund??

Hi guys. Myself and my boyfriend went upto Bradford in Yorkshire and I was looking around Primark, as the store was closing as I had been shopping around the store and totalled up £78 of items, I saw a bra as I was going to the till at just £4. I had looked at two and in a hurry put the wrong size in the basket. When I returned home I realised it was wrong. I had the reciept and went back the next day, the item was still sealed, tags everything in the bag/wrapping it has. However I was told Primark do not accept returns on women's bra's even if they are still sealed and never opened. Apparently so much so that it's on the reciept. When I looked all the reciept says was 'briefs, brief sets and boxers' are not accepted for returns. Although its £4 every penny counts for me with 3 kids so I wondered if anyone has a head office email or address for prim ark

Just as an FYI, you have no legal right of refund for change of mind, even if you've made a mistake.
You're entirely at the mercy of their own refund policy. According to their website, the following is displayed at all customer service desks:
Our refund and exchange policies are displayed in all of our stores at the customer services desk. A full refund or exchange will be offered to all customers in possession of a valid receipt, provided the merchandise is returned unworn or unused, with the original tags still attached, within 28 days from date of purchase. Refunds will be made according to the method of payment at the time of purchase. Where the purchase was made by a debit or credit card the refund will be made to this card, provided the cardholder is present and in possession of the card otherwise an exchange will be offered. Because of the nature of some products, we do not offer refunds on underwear, jewellery or cosmetics. This list is not exhaustive and does not affect your statutory rights. In the event that you have purchased a faulty item, a refund or exchange will be processed at the customer service desk at your nearest store. Primark does not offer postal exchanges or refunds.

What's on the receipt is irrelevant and does not form part of any contract as you don't receive it until the transaction is complete.

I've previously returned a bra which was sealed etc, with no problem. I was told it's just briefs/boxers/bikinis they won't accept.

There was nothing displayed at the checkout, neither did the person tell me this. And i spoke to a manager at Primark who just told me its company policy :(

There's usually a sign somewhere around the underwear section.

List it on ebay, that's what people usually do with underwear from Primark.

A lot of hassle over a £4 bra - the bus/ petrol/ parking would probably cost more ;)

Yeah, fraud and creating more waste and costs for the company because the buyer made a mistake, brilliant.

Three posts on a forum? Hardly a lot of fuss.

As opposed to your post commenting on a £4 bra that you didn't even buy. Maybe you need a hobby.

I agree with Techspec and seeing yourself said you are this:

No, I'm anti everything. I'm just a miserable so and so.

Which you seem to be confirming very frequently I would say to Techspec ignore your post!
