I would advise to drive within the speed limit. It stops you getting speeding tickets or killing some small child who might be out late playing.
Some people are so cavalier when it comes to speeding, like the have a given right to drive up and down the UK highways at any speed they feel fit. I would have a zero tolerance and 10 days in gaol if I were in charge
Did you wake up in a bad mood this morning?
I'm not sure the word "cavalier" would be suitable for someone doing 47 in a 40 at midnight but, of course, they ought to be well aware of the hordes of small children out playing at that time.
Have you contacted your MP to ask about a jail building programme to cater for the 950000 people per year who may need some space in a cell?0 -
Hi GAZ237, the last part of what I said was speculation however I know of several people who have recieved tickets with speeds between 31 and 34, and police officers have told me that if it is between 30 and 35 then reject it refering to the website. These last two points are not utter nonsense as this was not just heresay.
Some police forces are a lot more pro-active than others.officers at other nearby force also told me that they set a threshold of 40 mph in a 30 mph zone and their ticket office only sends them out for 40+ mph.0
