You could add that point if you like, it does no harm but a small typo doesn't seem a strong point. Just shows them to be typical illiterate ex-clampers...:)

Right, I've edited again. I've re-added the section about no creditor identified after referring to the FOPA as it states that the creditor must be identified on the Notice to Driver as well as the Notice to Keeper. I've also included the bit about the mis-spelt road name as it may be relevant. After all, they have to put the location on the notice yet they have added a non-existent place!

Do you think it is ok to send now? I must say I'm rather pleased with it so thanks yet again to everyone.

Yep, you should be proud of it after all that work! Good luck, that's the best appeal we can suggest for you and we normally win these. :)

Thanks Coupon-mad. You have been absolutely brilliant. This is mostly your work so you are the one who should be proud. With your enormous help & pointers I have managed to cobble this together.

Thank you also to Stroma, Guys Dad & Umkomaas for all your help as well. This forum is superb & I shall certainly be telling everyone I know about it!

I will send the appeal off tonight & I will keep you all informed of progress on here.

    Thanks again!

That's it! I've now submitted my appeal. It's just a matter of waiting now.

    I've heard from POPLA today.

They say that my appeal is being sent to Parking Control Management to provide their evidence. My appeal will be considered on or soon after 12th September.

You will get sent a bundle of 'evidence' from PCM which may have no explanation what it is. Share it with us and we can help you add to your appeal if there's anything in their rubbish that you wish to refute or respond to. You can do so as long as you send your response to PCM and to POPLA.

If in the meantime they send any debt collector or chase up letters at all, report them to POPLA by sending it in and complaining about it. The case has to be on hold.

I read on another thread that POPLA's online appeal form cuts off the end of a long appeal. In the email I received fromPOPLA the end was cut off but I assumed that it was just truncated for the email.

Does anyone know if this is the case or has part of my appeal been lost? Do I need to get back to POPLA to clarify this?

    Thanks again for your help.

Definitely - there is a numerical limit to the words available for appeals via email (nothing in website to inform of this) and POPLA just disregard the fact that the missing appeal points could be very relevant. They make no attempt to contact you to check whether anything more was submitted.

I'd suggest sending a hard copy to them via snail mail, get (free) proof of posting. Make sure your hard copy includes your 10-digit POPLA reference number and your covering letter instructs them to replace your electronic appeal with the paper-based one you are now submitting. Ask them to confirm receipt and confirm that they will deal with your appeal based on the one now submitted.

Let us know if you get any problems.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Put a copy in the post as well and say you believe it got cut off so please can they (POPLA) match the full version up with your file, POPLA ref xxxxxxxxxx. And say you've sent the full version to the PPC as well (and do so).
