Finally got my Upgrade........
I have at last managed to get my first contract upgrade today. It has been a roller coaster journey, messed about and lied to by one company, who I ordered from and then cancelled. I have spent hours trying to get the best deal I could and finally got one I am happy with.
I wanted the new Galaxy S4 mini, (the S4 is just too big for my liking). I thought I had it on a 24 month contract at £21 a month but that is one I mentioned that I cancelled after being messed around and lied to.
In the end I went back to T Mobile, I had a number of online chats with them, at first they were offering the phone for £119.99 upfront staying on my current deal and 18 month contract but I didn't really want to pay that much upfront. After a few days of going back to them they still would not better the offer until last night. I was going to accept the deal they had offered and pay the £120, as to be fair it did work out cheaper in the long run and 18 months is a better length of contract in my view.
I had discovered over the last week that if you log in and look round the upgrades, if you are patient they will eventually offer you the live chat to upgrade. If you just go onto the site and start the live chat, they won't deal with upgrades, just new customers.
So I waited about 5 minutes and the option flashed up for an upgrade chat. I asked if the option they had previously offered was still on the table, or could they offer anything else? I was asked to wait while they checked all the deals available to me and got a much better deal........
The S4 mini for £40 upfront.
Staying on an 18 month contract, with the same minutes, texts and unlimited internet, with a reduction on what I am currently paying of £1.50 a month.:D
I thought about waiting a few more days to see if it might get even better but in the end I didn't want to risk it no longer being available, so I accepted it and have completed the upgrade this morning, with the new phone arriving within 5 days:j
I think I have got a cracking deal on it at that, much improved from what they were offering on Monday and Tuesday of this week and much better than the deal I cancelled from Buymobilephones.net.......
So in the end a bit of patience has paid off, maybe if I had held out until nearer my end date, it might have got better but I am happy with it.
Buymobilephones wanted £21 x 24 = £504 for 100 mins, 100 texts and 1GB of data.:(
T Mobile have done £19.67 x 18 + £40 = £394.06 for 100 mins, 100 texts and and unlimited data, which is £1.50 a month less than I was paying and a new bang up to date phone:D
I think this is a great deal and goes to show it pays to wait and shop around.:D

Well done in finally getting what you wanted however this is not just a scaled down S4, it has a poorer screen and lower spec processor.
You have been unlucky with Buymobilephones.net, I have used them and mobiles.co.uk/e2save/mobilephonesdirect for well over 30 contracts and never had an issue. However I always buy purely online and have never had to contact any of them.0 -
I've recently got an S3 mini and completely love it so I know you'll be delighted with the S4 mini. Well done on the contract details too, that looks like a good deal to me :-)0

I know it isn't anywhere near as good as the S4 Kieth but I couldn't cope with the size of it. It does still have a decent processor compared to what I have in my Galaxy W, so hopefully I should see a improvement at least.
I also haven't had a problem with E2Save, they have been great during this contract and I've had all my cashback okay (just waiting for my last cheque). It was the blatant lies with buymobilephones.net that got me (as detailed on my other thread). If they had just been honest with me from the start I would have been with them now. Having said that though I would have been paying £2 a month more, had an extra 6 months on the contract and limited internet, so it worked out well for me anyway.
Glad your delighted with your S3 mini Xbrenx, if I hadn't been able to get the right deal I think I might have plumped for that myself. I had my heart set on the S4 mini though, would have liked the full S4 even more but for the size of it.
I think its quite funny how for years we all craved for smaller and smaller phones (and computers) etc. Now its all going back the other way and things seem to be getting bigger!0
