Tesco Printer Cartridge Recycling

About to send 3 off (all in same envelope) I assume you don't need to stick it in a wrapper just put the cartridge into the envelope. Worried that there is still a little left inside and they will leak over other post
Is the current address
Tesco Red Cross
The Recycling Factory
Freepost AND3654
BOSTON
PE21 7BR
Though they are HP cartridges they are not listed on the website still at least they will be recycled.
Oh on the slip they ask for an email address do they contact you when they arrive with the total points they are worth?0 -

The envelopes are designed not to leak - so don't worry, and I believe that you will recieve details at the end of the month (points gained etc) HP cartridges are4 accepted!!!0 -
Not sure if this has been posted anywhere, but since 1st March the maximum number of cartridges that can be sent for recycling to Tesco is 30 per household per annum.
Shame - I was building up my Clubcard points nicely by sending quite a few more than this in to them.0 -
I am pleased to hear you recieved your points.
I never did, I sent 3 cartridges and Tesco's said it was nothing to do with them and the recycling place said I would need to speak to Tesco's.
I have a pile of them, so I might try again.

OPS have sent loads in the past year, now is this 'new' rule coming in, meaning 30 this year i.e March 08 to March 09?
TPA xMFW - We've only gone and blooming done it!May 2013:j0 -
I'd already sent in quite a few cartridges around the end of February. A flyer came in the envelope from Therecyclingfactory saying that there's a new 30 cartridge limit per year.
Phoned up TRF a couple of weeks ago to see how many above the 30 i'd sent in and not been credited for. 28! 28 above the 30 had been counted with the Marie Curie charity getting the credit. 2800 points is £112 in deals.
I took some consolation from the fact that a chairty had benefited, but I took time to source those 28 cartridges!
I wrote a letter of complaint to tesco clubcard and have just had 2800 points added on to my account! yay.
so it;s worth complaining if you've missed out thanks to their new policy.0 -
Agree that if it is around the time they change the policy they will probably be leniant. But I would disagree say in several months time people could still rightly complain about it.
The unfortunate thing about Tescos Clubcard points scheme is that a small minority of people have used it in such ways that their restrictions that have to be put in place because of it end up affecting the majority of people.
Ones who open several card accounts, rummage through rubbish bins for old receipts (Wombling! Id seen the term and had NO idea what it meant till someone explained it to me!), purchasing cases and cases of baby powder to get a flight to New York etc. Its just greedy people like that that ruin it for the rest of us.0 -
I received the bags to send the ink cardridges for tesco points, i sent 9 cartridges about 5 or 6 weeks ago but no points have gone on to my card
has anyone actually received any points or am i wasting my time sending them in:mad:

If you look on the Tesco.com website and go the greener section there is a link for ordering bags for recycling mobiles and also ink cartridges.:j0
