listening to radio2 in the Republic of Ireland

There is also an agreement between the BBC and RTE to transmit some of their stations cross-border. Have you checked with your people in Eire to see if they have a freeview or Sky box which may actually receive BBC R2?

Hi GlynD I do listen to RTE2 when Im over there and quite enjoy it cant really say the same about mid west radio though! (the death announcements 3 or 4 times a day are a little difficult to get used to. I cant help it Im just a radio 2 kinda girl.:T

When my wife was first in Galway with me and heard mid-west radio she couldn't believe what she was hearing when the deaths section kept coming on. We kept listening that year because we were staying well out in the sticks near Clifden (Cashel Bay) and driving a lot, we wanted traffic reports - and also because they were playing Ain Fockle Ela about once an hour which we hadn't heard before and we nearly died laughing every time it came on!
