Hi all
Been to visit the audiologist this morning, for my 6-monthly “MoT” - don't appear to have got any deafer,:T so in and out quickly. Stopped by the F&V market in Central MK and got loads of stuff for not much money,:money: as they were selling off things that were very ripe – so we've been chopping and freezing since we got back.:D
The dogs behaved well, didn't have any wild parties in our absence.:A:A
Judi glad the reunion went well – you're a braver woman than I. I'd run a mile, even on my totally useless legs, if someone suggested a reunion to me.
Hester one set of runes is made from little flat stones out of the garden where I used to live – that's the set I usually use; the others are acorns.:o
FS GWS wishes for DD; hope it's nothing awful, and they can sort her out quick. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Judi - Hope you had a good time, what did you wear in the end?
I wore a black polka dot dress. I couldn't muster enough courage to wear anything any brighter. I must stop buying brightly coloured clothing/make up, as much as I love them bright primary colours are probably more suitable for younger people rather than people my age and I don't feel confident enough to carry them off anymore..... Saying that, I brightened the whole lot up with bright red lips.:DJudi - glad you enjoyed the reunion, I don,t think i,d have the nerve to go alone - good on you
Well it helped that it was within walking distance of my home and i'd promised to meet a couple of school friends at a specific time otherwise I might have chickened out.Judi glad the reunion went well – you're a braver woman than I. I'd run a mile, even on my totally useless legs, if someone suggested a reunion to me.
Well I cant say I was popular at school. Cant say I was unpopular either. If i'd wound people up or had been bullied, theres no way on Gods earth would I even have considered it.
Back from shopping. Wow is it hot out there! Came back with what I went for plus 5 black cotton t shirts for me. I don't have any cotton t shirts of my own so I pinched hubbys white one out of the wardrobe.... would have felt more comfortable in black though.:(
Hubby isn't home yet. Cant complain though as after 1pm he is paid £30 an hour which will pay for the engine for his 'Summer Project' that he is collecting tomorrow.
Tea will be lamb. That's if I can get out of this chair.:(
Barbecue weather this is. :T Pity I don't like tennis. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Evening all
LW the runes sound lovely.
DGD1 went home, DGS1 arrived & shared our BBQ, he's staying the night, I read his cards, it was interesting & almost word for word with his school report. We've been to the shops to buy him a comic and picked strawberries. We've played some board games & he's about to go in the bath & then to bed.
Car's not sorted as the wrong parts were sent, hubby has to work again tomorrow, not sure how long for & when I take DGS1 back home & I'll collect DGD2. Best get DGS1 out of the shower before he gets too wrinkled.
Hugs Hester

Evening all,
Well the plan had been for bf to treat me to a meal out and a cinema trip (we have an unlimited card and a cea card so get bogof tickets on the unlimited card!) But when bf picked me up because of the good weather we decided that instead of that we would pop to castleford for the bits he needed for his rugby chair , then nip and see his mum to see if they fancied a little BBQ at ours and I suggested calling his brother and his gf plus their two littlies so it turned in to a little family party :-) less than £20 spent at Iceland on foody bits of which we have a fair bit left and we've acquired some extra drinks in the fridge now too :-) plus bf took it from his personal budget not the grocery shop and with the others contributing to the spread ( savoury snacks from brother and his little family and fruit from parents) we have a fair bit :-) now we have a melon and pineapple to munch on :-)
Lovely to have everyone round for a bit and brother's gf seems to be making more of an effort now with bf's family which is a much welcomed change!
Not even got that many dishes to do, just plates, Two pans and some cutlery. And the party grill but that won't take long (we use a George forman grill in the house but it Came with a leg so you can use it like a BBQ outside for parties - best invention ever!)
Plenty I could be getting on with but first a little relax to let my body process the food (and cheeky drinks!) Then on with the washing up, tidying up the spare room and bedroom etc.
Halight; glad the girls dancing went well
Forever saving; hope your daughter is feeling better soon!************************************
