Ovivo network issues

Hi I recently joined ovivio and on the whole im well chuffed with the descion . But the internet is not working .
My phones a nexus 4 on the latest jelleybean I get the sms from ovivo saying the settings are coming and thats it nothing else .
Tried the manual set up with no joy . Where i live in devizes the 3g is not the best could this be part of the issue . Or would it be an android issue . I've never had this issue before with different sims .

Any thoughts would be useful

You could try downloading the Tweaker app and see if that makes a difference

true the nexus worked with vodafone only reason i moved was oivio are cheaper then voda pay as you go by a mile

Are you using the new ovivomobile.com APN? The older APN is due to be deactivated and maybe they aren't letting new users use it.

Check you setting against their new guide.

so to get the internet i have to be in a 3 g area or will it work slow in a 2 g area

It has to work via 2g, but very slowly.

You'll get EDGE (indicated with an E) in most 2g coverage, which is usually several times faster than standard GPRS speed, and almost comparable with the original 3g speeds
