Yes, I have peeled it off and had a look - no wires etc, just a normal cheapo label.

Agree with Custardy - just a 'scare' tactic to give the appearance that it's been sent tracked.

    Quite a good idea really..........

Can't be that good if you sussed it out :rotfl:

The reported drops in INR when using these labels certainly tally with figures for my own sales.
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.

Well clumsy I did a quick google image search for 'fake tracking label uk' to
try to find you one and the first image is from this thread

You wouldn't be the first to notice that this site is constantly cached by google. Having said that I don't use google anymore since the tax scandal.

The actual percentage of prolific INR claimants is really really low.
It may be higher in certain categories and it may be higher for certain sellers who sell high value items without appropriate cover for themselves.

Prolific scammers of low value items I reckon are less than 1 in 1000, and our company has a hobby on a quiet night of raising RM claims for each and every 99p item that goes astray for whatever reason so that they all get flagged both with RM and the buyers.

  • I occasionally lurk on The Wholesale Forums, and from memory a huge number of the sellers on there have used fake tracking labels for years (they used to source them on ebay but I think they now buy them off each other!). It appears to make a big difference to the number of INR cases if you sell in a category where this can be a problem (e.g. electronics/phone accessories).
