Quick opinion needed. I am selling my car on EBay and someone bid on Sunday so it went over the reserve. Now it ends in 3 hours and he just emailed me and said he wanted to cancel the bid as his partner had bought another car without his knowledge. The nearest bid to his is 75 less ( and 75 under reserve) so if I cancel his bid I may not sell. However if I leave his bid someone else may better it. Ebay frown on cancelling bids aswell

:) They can cancel their own bid if they wanted too.

You haven't received their email as you are out for the next 3 hours ;)

Anyone know if there is such a thing as a phone app which you can use to scan prices of items in supermarkets please?

Ignore the email and wait to the end of the auction and see what happens. That's what I would do.

    Morning mad squad!

Thats what I thought too. Then if no one else bids and he does not pay at least I will get my fees back.

Tell him he doesn't have a very good relationship if his partner will buy a car without him knowing, so he really needs to consider whether he should get out now as it is inevitably doomed. As for the bid, well, its legally binding so he needs to cough up.

Though he wont, so do as OP said above, leave the bid standing and see how it goes, how much interest do you have in the car?

If you remove their bid, then you need to lower your reserve to whatever the next highest bid is. Otherwise you could find that you remove their bid and the car still doesn't sell. Likewise if you leave their bid, and try to second chance offer then you have no guarantee of it selling then. Tricky, go with your gut.

Also, Pie coupons, where did they come from ?

I was getting the ready to drink vimto, 2 for £1.50, but think the offer has gone up to 2 for £2.00:o

Ha, ha, yes. If you read my post I sound like Mary Poppins don't I! I can assure you that we don't do library visits and cooking activities every day. DVDs will also feature heavily in my summer holiday schedule! I have already shouted this morning and am currently dealing with tears as someone has scribbled on someone else's drawing! I am definitely not an :A
