I do not use SS tills for mocs - coupon acceptance policy is determined by the store/company and they can accept whatever they like, when they like and change the rules at a whim. Their policy is implemented by their staff, who are the ones that determine what coupons can be taken in what circumstances. I am very fortunate to have a store with a flexible attitude to coupons and many also benefit from this around the country - others face a stricter regime, but this thread caters for all.
We seem to be narrowing down what is and is not acceptable to post. I did think about mentioning the JF moc and waited a while as I guessed the response, but I am not advocating anything and everyone is a grown-up able to make their own decisions. This is posted elsewhere and loads of peeps are benefitting, so seems a shame for Eliters not to have the same choices. So much really really good stuff is no longer posted here because there is a judgmental vibe and only the "safest" options go without comment. Pretty much every post about JF or Cushelle could be hauled up but (correctly in my view) isn't.
I very much admire the dedication some put into their shopping lists and am very envious of the time some have to visit several supermarkets a day, each day of the week, but the style of shopping that involves working out multiple shops to save 20p on a loaf is simply not for me - I wish to maximise my savings in a single visit to a single store and work my shopping lists accordingly. We are all different and I think this thread really thrives and is vibrant when those differences are at best welcomed or as a minimum tolerated. I no longer post my shops and many of my ideas because sometimes they are heavily criticised from a perspective that I don't really understand.
As long as things are legal, do not break MSE rules, do not bring MSE or the thread in to disrepute, do not cause long term damage/fall-out to store coupon acceptance policy/manufacturers issuing mocs, etc - then anything goes.
I have learned a phenomenal amount about savvy shopping from MSE over the years and always felt this was the place to be for the hottest hints, tips, bargains, glitches. Lots of folk who shop my way no longer post here and I think that is a real shame but understand why - I would love to see some of that vibrance, buzz and shameless derring-do return, but fully understand that the thread goes with the flow of the majority who chose to post.
it is a shame you dont post your shops like others do because we can all benefit that way. you should try not to be so sensitive as to what people say. this thread is a very worthwhile one and i never do my shopping until i have firstly checked to see if there may be some useful coupon or offer i can avail myself of. whatever anyone says about me or my posts it will never stop me posting my views or my shops0 -

Turned out that the bt connections are in a box under the ground and water was getting in, we have since had them all renewed.
We tried to get compo, really played my face at how long it was going on for, we ended up with 35p a day compensation.
Hope you get more, good luck.
I already had compo from them earlier in the year, I got 2 months package payments refunded (£90) and the new infinity package for less than I was paying for the old broadband package. It wasn't easy but I got there in the end.
We are a bit limited in this area because we have no cable access, and despite the problems Ive had BT are the best of the available options as far as I know.
Oh dear if it isn't fixed by the time DS2 gets home from school, there will be a melt down of almighty proportions :o0 -
Queenriderbrekke wrote: »Is Norwich the only area trialling the new Tesco Petrol Promotion where you get 1p per L off for each £20 spent?
Not seen that trial up here, but then prices are rather ridiculous.
T's and M's fuel in town. Both charging same price. 5 miles away are branded fuel stations that are charging less than both T's and M's. How can they justify supermarket prices being the same price as the big boys?
Where I work, A's are 4p litre cheaper than T's/M's at home. So fill up there, unless I have a current 5p off litre, making T's 1p cheaper per litre. The mind is like a parachute. It doesn't work unless it's open0 -
