That's what I was thinking, and different kids next year, so what the heck, miss was drunk for the last week all day every day, I'm sure the parents wouldn't mind and they are so appreciative of all that we do that they wouldn't complain anyway.:D

Are the tesco vouchers working on the ready mixed cartons, or just the bottles of squash?

Unfortunately, I think they work on them all:o

Are you buying the smarties cones with your magnums savvy? My kids are going through Magnums like nobody's business but they're not keen on the smarties cones at all. Fussy! don't know where on earth they get that from :D:o

Yes. The Magnums are probably for work (some of them!:D) but the Cones, they go really quick again... And it's summer:j:j and lots of ice creams/lollies being bought. Some of those Orange Lollies tossed into the basket this time - found them comparable to M on a womble:T - and helping add more variety to our flavours.

FC - you've pushed my post per day number up by one!!:(:D
I may as well mention it now: I'll off to catch up now - and already with some replies in the queue.;)

Hiya guys, just checking in before I go to bed

Had a terrible drive down to the New Forest on Friday:eek: Really painful left knee and then started getting cramp in right thigh/groin ... seemed to take forever to get here :(

Picked up a hire wheelchair locally on Saturday and have used that to get about since. Went to London for the Hampton Court Flower Show on Sunday with Steve, Andy and Kit and I am so glad I had the wheelchair or I wouldn't have made it there never mind get around the showground. We all had a fantastic time there though :j

Today, we have been to Southampton, and had a lovely time in Ikea picking up lots of good bits, and then Andy treated us to a meal at TGI for my birthday so it made a lovely day for me. Lots of cards this morning and balloons/banners, and neighbour of the lads came down this evening with a lovely homemade birthday cake, with a doggy on top of course

It was my 60th birthday today and I really don't feel any different. I have never put much store on age actually, though my arthritis often makes me feel more like 90 at times  Alan and I always planned for something special for my 60th and I always felt that he would be here with me to celebrate it, but, although I am sad that he isn't here, my friends have made it extra special for me. No bus pass or state pension for me though, I have to wait until 6/7/2017 for that , but at least I get free prescriptions from today ;)

The weather has been scorching and it looks to continue like this for a while yet. Hope everyone is enjoying it while it is here

Glad you had a nice day. I too will have to wait for my buss pass and pension as I am 60 next year and will not get my pension till late 2019. My sister who lives abroad is 61 and gets a lovely fat pension from the UN ( where she worked for 30 years), a smaller one from Italy and another small one from the UK ( where she has not worked for over 35 years!!). She keeps complaining about how little she will get from her UK pension when it is payable next year!!
