Second shop...and another single banana later.:)
Had moved onto a nearby A supermarket, as only three varieties of soup in the big store, hoping I might find others (such as the elusive Minestrone) but sady even more limited selection!
Why £4.11?
12 items (9 different) on your bill qualify for comparisonMorrisons
+£3.42
0.21 x ASDA Bananas by Weight £0.14£0.14
1 x ASDA Smartprice Milk Chocolate Bar (100g)£0.30£0.30 *
1 x Princes 100% Pure Orange Juice from Concentrate (1...£1.58£0.75
1 x Fox's Jam Ring Creams (150g)£1.09£0.57
1 x Fox's Ginger Crunch Creams (168g)£1.09£0.57
2 x Campbell's Cream of Tomato Cup Soup (100g)£1.50£1.00
3 x Campbell's Potato & Leek Cup Soup (100g)£2.45£1.50
1 x ASDA Lemon Juice (250ml)£0.50£0.40
1 x ASDA Smartprice Cooked Ham (400g)£1.65£1.65
Comparison total£10.30£6.88
Just so haphazard though... Princes Pomegranate Juice Drink (which appeared on the comp. at £1.58 last time but compared, correctly, N/A) now does not appear at all, despite being bought again (and returned home, after my shopping folks:eek::eek:, to find msm the same as it was last time). Getting a wider selection of flavours than the Mango only at 50p in T. This one the safer one, with the Orange, again. Next time will be going for another Pomegranate (or a Cranberry), as want that flavour, with an Apple Juice which should compare to M's 75p. Unbelievably the small supermarket stocked the Pomegranate drink which one of the larger stores does not.
Now tried the Jam Ring Creams (after having had the doubt in the first store about whether they were the same ones in M - still had that doubt now but went for it). I put back the Patterson Shortbread £1vs £1, as I figured why get that and pay for a 90p filler when you could just have another flump for 10p (9p)? Then put the flump back:rotfl:, as I had way enough anyway.
My freestyler is the lemon juice - I've seen A at 20p before on that, so ten per cent off 40p isn't the best, although it's not the worst either, had seen it at 40p tonight in M, couldn't remember last week's price precisely but thought it was probably still 40p then. So a bit of a Savvy freestyle risk!:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::)
Oooo... one of my attempted fillers, the A SP Pork Chops (N/A for M) hasn't appeared on the comp. at all! So I was cutting it finer still. Bought what I was going to buy, and didn't fall for the Shortbread either. Not pushing it on the Campbell's - took my MOCs no problem. I also put the I Can't Believe... back, so I could use it as a filler on the next shop:rotfl:.
So don't try SP Pork Chops (765g?) thinking they will act as a filler. They won't, judging by this, and neither on they part of any multi. offer so don't act as a trigger either:(.
* I know, but I like it better than some of the branded ones.0 -
Hiya guys, just checking in before I go to bed
Had a terrible drive down to the New Forest on Friday:eek: Really painful left knee and then started getting cramp in right thigh/groin ... seemed to take forever to get here
Picked up a hire wheelchair locally on Saturday and have used that to get about since. Went to London for the Hampton Court Flower Show on Sunday with Steve, Andy and Kit and I am so glad I had the wheelchair or I wouldn't have made it there never mind get around the showground. We all had a fantastic time there though :j
Today, we have been to Southampton, and had a lovely time in Ikea picking up lots of good bits, and then Andy treated us to a meal at TGI for my birthday so it made a lovely day for me. Lots of cards this morning and balloons/banners, and neighbour of the lads came down this evening with a lovely homemade birthday cake, with a doggy on top of course
It was my 60th birthday today and I really don't feel any different. I have never put much store on age actually, though my arthritis often makes me feel more like 90 at times  Alan and I always planned for something special for my 60th and I always felt that he would be here with me to celebrate it, but, although I am sad that he isn't here, my friends have made it extra special for me. No bus pass or state pension for me though, I have to wait until 6/7/2017 for that , but at least I get free prescriptions from today
The weather has been scorching and it looks to continue like this for a while yet. Hope everyone is enjoying it while it is hereMr 3Dogs 3-7-12

Third and final shop from tonight (lot of Morries shopping going on!:D:D)
Why £3.26?

2 x Campbell's Cream of Tomato Cup Soup (100g)£1.50£1.00
3 x Campbell's Potato & Leek Cup Soup (100g)£2.45£1.50
1 x ASDA Apricots (320g)£1.00N/A
1 x ASDA Smartprice Shaving Foam (250ml)£0.26£0.26
1 x I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spread (400g)£1.00£0.72
Comparison total (compared products only)£8.04£5.32
No Creamy Veg. or Minestrone with Crouton in this store:(:(:(, A's Apricots are slightly different so I knew that, but £1 for 320g in A as opposed to same price for 20g less in M. I Can't Believe It's Not Butter 500g actually £1.80 in M. I could use the Flump now, on this new shop!:j:)
(Just watch it... a little addiction starting on these Flumps - they've v. tasty - and could add up to quite some cost:eek:.)
So... all went well, for all three comparisons.:)0 -
