i to train my kids but some listen better than others dd2 is terrible she goes for convenience over money saving, but ds3 at 13 is impressive one of his friends mum stopped and thanked him for buying his mate an icecream on their trip tuesday and offered him the money, as she forgot to give her son any in the morning, but he said it was only cheap while everyone was queueing at the posh ice cream shop him and another mate went into iceland and brought 3 boxes of icecreams for £3 and shared them out with their friends that had no money apparently they even gave the teacher one..
i was proud of him being money saving and generous..
Very clever lad! :T
I used to do this when I was picking the kids up from school when they were younger.
Ice cream van always parked up outside the school and the kids would nag me for ice cream.
On the way to the school every day I'd go post office and then swing by the supermarket and grab a box of cornettos (think they were a quid for 6), result was an ice cream for each of us and one for their teachers too and not having to queue in the heat for the ice cream van :jxxlouisexx56 wrote: »I'm going to go to another T's (not my local) which I know at least has the blonde sachets (I'm brunette :rotfl: ) and I have to take dd1 to a party on Sunday so will leave early and call in at another one. If you can find the Brunette sachet even better as someone reported it's RTC at 74p :j

Wardrobe finished and in my new bedroom thanks to Ditzy :T :j:j. Wait til she tells you the tale . :rotfl::rotfl:
On the glitch front I nip to local T's (0.22 miles away) any further and I weigh up do I really need it and I work out the cost including 50p per mile (fuel and maintanence). I then add in my time/energy and I have to say a lot of the time it isn't a big enough glitch for me to go.
Oh btw it's really sunny and hot here:D
Hope everyone's appointment's have gone well xxx0 -

that was such a good idea with the cornettos i think having an ice cream van outside a school must be:eek::eek: kids always asking and if you say no you look mean in front of the other mums,
never had that problem as kids always go to school in taxi or bus, or as in ds3 case he is the only child from our village so they take him to meet the big bus in all sorts of vehicles he regular comes home in bakery van, pick up, 3 wheeler and once a limo depending on who is coming our way. i told them i did not mind as long as they dont use the hearse:rotfl:0 -

The ice cream van parks outside our primary school at lunch time to get the best spot.
I tend to park round the other side of he school as I feel mean saying no but I can't do it everyday.
I will buy the kids one tomorrow after sports day though0 -

I agree, there was never an ice cream van outside my primary school as a child.
Because I have the ice creams in hand it made the kids walk past their mates grinning as they were either queuing up in the massive queue or were frantically eating fast melting ice creams their parents had bought before walking into the playground to pick them up :rotfl: there was a girl in DS class whose Mum always bought her one and one for the teacher. She must have spent a fortune over each summer
Your DS sounds so lucky, my DS2 would love to be picked up in things like thathe thinks it's the best thing when he gets to ride on a bus or a train :rotfl: bless him.
