Tell me about it. I added up what i had spent in A and T this month and was shocked. These glitches may have small unit price but stocking up has a cost too

I've implemented a self imposed glitch ban til month end. I haven't even got any coke

On the plus side i'm using sun ream from last years B1G5F glitch in Mr Shoes :money:

Was it not you that found the coke thing ? ARF !

I have been running stock back for a while with moving. Unless we can eat it soonish I haven't bothered. Or if it was totally free of course.

Someone on here has signature "I thought this site was meant to save me money" and its true we can get a bit carried away ! I'm going to pull belt in till old house sold, having a mortgage again is sticking in my throat

I used to try and get the whole barcode in the iphone screen but i find it works much, much better if half the barcode is in preview pane and half off to the right of the screen ;)

Some items it flat refuses to scan (shiny surfaces) and some it seems to scan while I'm just picking them off the shelf (super sensitive scanner?) but you're right about it scanning items better if you're not trying to fit the entire barcode in that rectangle.
I did find recently if you go on the main menu there's a list called 'my scans' and everything you've ever scanned is already their so I've started scanning the contents on my cupboards/fridge/freezer in the comfort of my own home instead :D much to my kids disappointment as they like doing the scanning while wandering the supermarket :rotfl: one holds the ipod, one holds the item :D

    Think I'm all caught up.
Lots of luck to those with docs/hospital appointments today (seems to be a fair few).
Just got home from Ts and did a couple of shops.

Found a lovely obliging SA who took 6 JF MOCs and I used the overage to get a whoopsied pack of pork for a quid for dinner tonight :j
Second shop was entertaining :D pizzas and general shopping, while scanning my MOCs and a handful of PPs the SA said she'd be paying me to take my shopping away at some point :D her face was a picture when the total came in at £1.72 and then it got even better when the till spat out a PP for £6.07 (for the 8 pizzas and other bits) :rotfl:
I got a big well done off the SA and the customer in the queue behind me who I'd probably held up for 5 mins said to me 'I wish I could do that!'

It's days like this I love what we do and it gives me such a buzz :D I love all you guys (and gals :D) for everything you've taught me :o
I know when we stock up it can cause a rather large outlay we don't seem to notice while we're glitch shopping but when you see the contents of the cupboard/fridge/freezer to me it all seems worth it in the end.
At least if all the shops suddenly closed tomorrow we'd all be prepared for a good few weeks/months/years (delete as stash appropriate :D )

Lol does make you laugh doesn't it.... if you buy say 2 of a glitch by the time you paid petrol (depending how far away you are) is it really worth it I am asking myself........ What distance does round trip cost make it not worthwhile over 10 miles?

I know in some ways this is a harmless "hobby", but I am beginning to reflect on the amount of time spent glitch chasing. I think I need to start considering the cost in terms of petrol and time before I shoot off on my next wild goose chase :o. Having visited four Ts the other day for 1p caramels (I found 1!), when to all intents and purposes we don't "need" any, wasting over 2 hours on a round trip and looking at my stash of 20+ Savoury Favourites, I have given myself a serious talking to :).

I have saved a fortune with glitches (and a few extra bonuses on 1p items) but I am going to try and consider whether we need it before spending lots of time shopping.
