UKPC Ticket, first time...

Hi, today i just found a parking ticket on my car.
I was on my workplace but someone parked on my space (i have a parking permission sticker in my car) so i had to park my car near the wall. Considering that i own the place (i'm director of my company and my company owns the building) i have no idea what to do.
I've been advice by my colleagues (they had many ticket and they always ignored it for months) to simply don't pay and don't respond to any letter, they will ask, they will pass it to debt collectors and i have to ignore everything...Is it true?
I don't want to pay 160 pounds for nothing...but i don't want to pay more or have a bad credit.
Cheers,
Ale.

Ignoring a fake PCN like this one was the old advice but not now if in England/Wales. But you do not pay it of course!
There's a better way - a winning appeal wording - which gets it cancelled, stops the debt collector letters (which are only junk anyway) and costs the PPC money if they end up funding a POPLA appeal for you. But I suggest you can get UKPC to cancel it before POPLA stage anyway.
I suggest to WAIT for the Notice to Keeper to arrive, do nothing yet, that's our standard way to play it when you get a fake PCN on the windscreen now. The Notice to Keeper may not arrive for a month or so. In the meantime read some threads about UKPC and other fake PCN scams (any firm) and about POPLA in case you need it.
Here's a complaint challenge I wrote for someone today about UKPC:

...you could use a version of that but ONLY when you get the postal Notice. Keep the envelope to that Notice as well if the posting date is different than the letter inside. Also you may like to know that the only times UKPC have 'done court' was when they were taken there. As is mentioned in the complaint letter I typed in that linked MSE thread, TS took them to court in 2011 and also more recently, a guy who owned the freehold sued them for trespass and won!
http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?377246-UKPC-liable-for-trespass-**SUCCESS**
...some similarities with your situation that you may want to mention when you do respond to the first postal Notice?!
One final thought, which IDIOTS decided to get a PPC there? Complain to them to get it cancelled and point out that all your staff know UKPC are a joke who have only ever gone to court when they were taken there. And why don't they just remove the protection racket altogether so all employees and customers can park unharassed?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you so much for this quick response.
I think i will follow your advice and have a read to all the links you posted...i'm actually terrorised to spend this amount of money for absolutely nothing.
Yeah..you are right that is really stupid to hire this people but i understand why. We are really close to the Old Trafford and every time there is a match, all our parking are taken by MUFC fans and we have to park in the middle of the road. But this is mad now...i mean..i already paid the physical parking space...we own it...and if someone have my space...i get the fine? (invoice apparently)...0 -
This has to be a wind up!0

MUFC fans?
Didn't know they could drive...thought they sat in armchairs watching 'their team' (LOL!) on tv hundreds of miles away.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I received a ticket today in a carpark where you can park free up to 2 hours. I was gone an hour and fifty minutes not realising I had to display a ticket even though it was free for 2 hours.
What do I do as I cannot afford to pay this?
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks0 -

Hi, some time has passed...really busy and i was overseas for 2 months...
I got something like 4 letters from UKPC, just the usual stuff...and today i received a new one offering a discount (from 160 to 120)...honestly, i was away and i didn't even see the letters so i didn't respond.
What is the best way to proceed? Ignore, write, pay (no way)?
I forgot to mention that UKPC has been FIRED from the Business Park, they no longer work there...apparently, too many complains
Thanks!

Your course is set just ignore them unless they sent you a letter before claimWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

They sent me 4 letters asking to pay the ticket (see first post), now i got a new one offering a discount.
I was away and i didn't see the letters (first time time this week altogether)...and of course i didn't respond.
My question is: do i need to respond now or better not? I mean, according to them i never responded and they offered a discount...seems a desperate move to grab some money (which they will never have from me of course).0 -
It is desperation and don't pay them anything! Is it debt recovery plus and zenith writing to you as well? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
