I would
Sadly, these days, online's such a key component of gaming, which gets released first is critical. Honestly, when I think about my next console, what's important to me? Hardware specs? Meh. Features? Hmm. Games...a bit, I suppose...but the single most important thing to me: what do my friends have?
That's not me being a sheep and being led by my friends, that's me wanting to play online with my mates.
That's just how this generation went for me...I tried to hold out for the PS3, but it got to a stage where all of my mates had already bought the xbox and I just thought "I'd rather play with them on my second choice console than play on my favourite console by myself".0 -
I don't think Sony will make the same mistakes with the PS4 they made with the PS3 release.
I play PS3 because all my friends do. All those friends are buying the PS4. If the PS4 is late then they'll all be playing PS3 until it's out.
Makes sense to wait. Don't want or need two consoles, I had the 360 slim and a PS3, then slim gathered dust.0 -
I too play on the PS3 because that's what most of my friends play on (though some have an X360 too) and that is what the gaming community I run is based around. All of us have decided that it's the PS4 that we'll be going for - some have pre-ordered already, others will be waiting until next year anyway. I don't think any of them are interested in an XBone and are unlikely to change their minds even if the PS4 is delayed (which I can't see happening).0

I can't see Sony dropping the ball like they did with the PS3 release. Lessons will be learnt.Knowledge is a tool, and like all tools, its impact is in the hands of the user.0

I'm not brand loyal and normally get on of each gens consoles, however I don't think I'll be buying the Xbone, I was not impressed with the draconian features and even though they back tracked pretty fast on those It was to little to late for me. I might have a rethink on it when price drops and deals start coming out.I SUPPORT CAT RESCUE! Visit Cat Chat to support cat rescue too.

Currently got a PS3, 360, and a wii that gets switched on maybe once a year.
XBox One for me, based on the fact that I've preferred the 360 to the PS3, plus my mates I play online with are mainly Xbox users. I'm hoping to get a PS4 eventually too but probably next year.0 -
I'm a solitary player and much prefer my Xbox to my PS3. But I think I've finally decided to get the PS4 on release mainly because it's cheaper, I really just want my games console to be a games console and I'm narked at Microsoft for their pathetic handling of it all and their original stance re: pre owned games. I've also just subscribed to PS Plus and will be interested to see what that brings to the PS4.
I've pre-ordered a PS4, although I can cancel if I change my mind. All that said, even if I get a PS4, if the user reviews of the XBone are positive, I'll probably eventually get one of those too at some point in the future.
But what really made up my mind was when I found out Mass Effect 4 will most likely be available for the PS4 whilst I'm not that bothered if I end up having to get the next Halo for the Xbox 360.0 -
I'd hardly say it's "sticking with what you know" when both have changed so much. brand loyalty in gaming is pointless. I'm going to see which console has the best games, best ports, most reasonable price/reliability. I might get both, or neither.
But stick with what I know? Nah, because they're going to be nothing like the current gen consoles anyway. The only thing familiar is the joypad.0 -
Im getting both just like I haveva xbox and ps3 now xD0

I've always been a Sony person, but am disappointed with the lack of Sky Go on the PS3 so am thinking about getting the XBone for that reason alone, as most of the games come out on both. Of course, if the PS4 has Sky Go option (unlikely as i heard Microsoft have exclusivity agreement with Sky), then I will stick with the better and cheaper PlayStation.0
