    Morning All,
Some advice please concerning brothers brand new house.

He bought a new house six months ago and has just been informed that the developer has to cut out existing cement to a depth of 40M then re-point the whole house because of defective cement, ...
    Why?

I mean has someone told the Developer to do this, or did they just decide for themselves?

    Was it Building Control?

Did a new ownercomplain to NHBC, who told the developer....?

Depending on the answer, you will have a better idea if the 40M ( :T) is an independant professional solution,or a bodge job by the developer.

Don't know the answers to those questions GM, all bro told me was that phase one had this fault but as he was phase two it should have been ok but it's not, how it came to light I don't know.
Tricky Dicky I thought it would have been at least a 4M shot!!

    Find out?

If you (and brother) are concerned enough to try to get answers via an internet forum, then seems logical to make an effort to get the full facts!
