I haven't posted here before either! loving OS really getting loads of ideas.
My problem is I am (a) a rubbish cook (b) am always short on time - but today instead of going for the normal (and on the credit card) carvery I have cooked a Miss Moneypenny Pasta and sausage lunch using left over pasta from yesterday and two sausages that were languishing in the fridge and pre light bulb moment would have been thrown away without a second though (is there an ashamed smilie to put in here). Really want to get into cooking and already reading what everyone else is having for lunch has given me loads of ideas
Hester - agree with everyone else RUDE RUDE RUDE behavior bet the teachers wouldn't expect the kids to behave like this.
BBQ's - I often take sides too, Pasta bake, Cooked Rice/Rice Salad (the kids love this and as its outside parents don't care!). I often also take veg kebabs - as I don't like beef and often thats all thats left at the end and they are really cheap and easy to make (if using wood skewers don't forget to soak them first! The thing where you put two choc biscuits with marshmellows in the middle and on one of those silver bbq trays to melt the choc and mellows as the bbq goes out are fab - haven't done them myself but have eaten a fair few :rotfl:Debt free May 2016 (without the support of MSE forum users that would never have been possible - thank you all)0 -
Hi all – just having a quick time-out; the Hairy Hooligans are actually lying down for a change!:D
Hester oh no, that's just plain rude that teacher snapping her fingers at you. What does she think you are – a dog or something??
You read the Tarot? I could never get the hang of it. Runes are more my thing; I have two sets, both of which I made myself.:o
Tru that bag is lovely – I could do with one like that! I'm not that talented, though.:o
Lushlifesaver your travel ideas sound great – and your bf doesn't need to worry about you travelling alone. Well done to him, btw.:THester - hugs to you x
I think public services like the LEA and NHS are the worst employers for bullying behaviours. It was my experience of the NHS anyway. I also had a few experiences of "I pay your wages so I will get what I want" which used to really rile me too. But you have to just grit your teeth and smile sweetly. I know that a THANK YOU goes a long way x
Welcome shelley crow you'll love it here.:o
I'm not enjoying the heat – wearing wrist splints in this weather is purgatory, my hands and wrists sweat horribly, and get itchy and sore; but I can't do anything without the splints on, so will just have to put up with it.:(
The dogs are drinking loads of water as they're hot, so asking to go outside for a pee frequently – poor things can't just take their coats off (although they're making a good effort at it, little tufts of shed hair everywhere, lol):D I'd thought I only had them til Monday, but I was told wrong, and they're actually staying til Tuesday.:TIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

LW would having a liner between your skin and the splint help with the warm weather?0 -
A late posting from me today. Welcome to shelley_crow and misfire. Its lovely to have you amongst us.
All chores completed for today. I have just had a bath and i'm just about to head out to the chemist. 'Youngest' needs more hay fever medication and hubby needs more aspirin. I need to pop into the Post Office too.
Its my school reunion tonight. I was trying to find excuses not to go this morning but I think i'm looking forward to it now. Cant say that walking into a pub on my own is filling with me with joy but i'll live. Ive just got to figure out what to wear now. Shall I wear a dress that I love and am comfortable in or shall I wear something bright which is bound to make me a little self conscious.
Tea tonight is will be chicken.... not sure what else but we are having chicken.:D
Hope your all enjoying the sunshine! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

It'll be time to take Bailey & Cassie outside for their afternoon exercise shortly - I think in view of the heat, we'll keep it short, and give them another "outing" later, when it's a bit cooler.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Aah, so that's why I look like I need a good iron!
Afternoon All
Sorry so many of you are suffering with the heat, no such luck here - it hasn't rained for most of the day though so that's a plus. Washing dried outside, bedding ironed and put back on and the grass cut.
Also had to go out to get a card for DS2s GF, it's her birthday on Sunday so have sent a card and B00ts voucher. DS2 goes away tomorrow to Spain for a week, silly B£gger is going to Pamplona (sp) to run with the bulls.
HH - You must have the patience of a saint to stay there, so sorry for the people not so strong.
Not much happening, having a shower in a mo as working at 7. Enjoy the weekend and the sun. Take care. XX0 -
