Phone cannot receive calls

There is some problem between the house and exchange, I can ring out and use internet though get regular cut outs but only for a minute or two each time.

I have tried contacting customer service but its a Indian call centre who fail to understand my problem and I am paying for the call!

The bill is due but I dont think its fair to pay the whole bill when i need the phone for relatives who do not have internet such as frail elderly relatives.

Not much anyone can do to help unless you tell us who your service provider is.

Have you thought about asking your question on The Home Phones board?

If you ring out from the line provided its free for most providers, alternatively you could log the fault online/through email.
  • yes you need to log this fault anyway you can, if your not getting satisfaction through the call centre try email. not familiar with orange call charges (yes it should be free but not always) if it does charge for customer service try using the website saynoto0870 dot com to find a landline number to call for free (0800 801080?) once logged tell them your not happy at the fault and that you want a reduction in the bill for the inconvenience. Most will try it on claiming it's not their fault (down to service provider i.e. BT OPENREACH) - but you pay them for the service - not BT - so your complaint is with ORANGE. hope that helps
When a jar contains rocks, pebbles and sand is it truly full? What about beer?
