I hate the bad press Bull Breeds get, it is totally uncalled for and humans are the ones to blame, not the dog!

Absolutely. I 100% believe that if it suddenly became "hard" to own a Golden Retriever, we'd see attacks by that breed go through the roof, because they'd be owned by the type of morons that currently have bull breeds and raise them to be aggressive. It's a shame the media only wants to portray the few isolated horror stories about certain breeds, instead of showing the tens of thousands living as good natured pets.

I have an Akita, and people either cross the road to avoid her, or there's a certain type of "person" who wants to show how tough they are by marching up to her and ruffling her head really hard or shoving their face into hers.

Isn't it irritating! I absolutely LOVE bull breeds, I respect that then can be capable of killing but its when they are in the wrong hands that it is an issue.

I always get chavs telling me my dog is "mint" or "sick" and asking if I have puppies or if I will breed my dog with theirs.....

There is a page on Facebook called Lily the Hero Pitbull...this dog rescued her owner's mother when she got drunk and was on train tracks...the dog lost one of her legs....yet that would probably never be in the paper as she wasn't ripping out someone's jugular or savaging children....

I suppose my Rough Collie could kill someone if he put his mind to it. And he's a lot more likely to than my Akita, because he's a spoilt, moody sod! ;)

But again - people's misinformed perceptions. The same people who back away from my Akita, will go charging up to the Rough Collie shouting: "Lassie!!!!!"

I've only ever met one aggressive EBT, but I've met many an aggressive Westie. Yet because they're a "cute" breed, you don't see anything negative about them in the Daily Mail!

    Me!
Except I prefer the brindle / darker colours to the white ones.

Currently on the hunt for a suitable bullie from the rescue sites. I have to say though, that although they are my breed of choice they can be a handful. Mutt (my avatar) consistently had me alternating between laughing at her antics and tearing my hair out in frustration. As some posters on here will no doubt remember!
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I love the fawn coloured EBTs, but they're all gorgeous!!

I know what you mean about the laughing/frustration thing, although I must say for a Bull Terrier he is quite well behaved (only because I am comparing him to the REALLY naughty ones I see on Facebook groups!)

He's an absolute little star though, I could go on about him all day...but for all your sake's I won't! :D
