I bought a number of blinds from Concept Blinds Direct a few months ago. They were the cheapest I could find for the blinds I wanted, and their service was excellent.

I've bought wooden venetian blinds from the high street stores (Argos, Dunnelm Mill). If you take your time and dismantle them, trimming the blades separately with a power saw and reassembling them you can get a good result.0

:)Well worth a try these:)
Did the front of the house, 5 big windows with 50mm Wooden Venetian Blinds for £250
Their help line is very helpfull to get your requirements right and exact:)
Only problem I found and its not a real issue was that the screws for the brackets need to be screwed in full and exactly as the bracket is a tight fit if the blind doesnt sit right back into the bracket, so pays to bet the placement right and screw in exactly the right place and screw up tight:(Signature removed0 -
Try "Tuiss". Recently ordered a variety of blinds from them. Bamboo slatted, some roman blinds and some sheer roller blinds. Happy with all of them (they are made to order from a wide selection of fabrics). Happy with the service and they send out free samples if you want them. Price quite reasonable.0

I've bought wooden venetian blinds from a seller on ebay & have cut my blinds down quite easily using a jigsaw.
I mark how much needs to be cut off with a pencil, then tape the blind tightly together with parcel tape or something similar that sits just over the pencil line, then off I go at a steady pace along the pencil line with my jigsaw. I keep the other end of the blind flat up against a wall while cutting & usually wrap a bit of tape around that too, just to hold it steady. When I get to the metal head-rail I have to switch to a hacksaw as I've never mastered the art of cutting through metal with a jigsaw.
Cutting my own blinds down has saved me a fortune on having to have them specially made to fit my windows. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
for verticals try vertical-blinds-direct.co.uk. replaced the blinds in our bay which were old and discoloured, new ones weren't of the same quality as the old ones but they were cheasp enough to be classed as disposable in 2-3 years time. quick, cheap and good quality - were going to replace the slats in our conservatory from this company as well.0
