Parking Eye Charge in Aldi car park

Good for you tygr.
I'm on pension credit and last week I was on the receiving end of similar judgmental ridiculous comments at the hospital when I went to claim for travelling expenses.
"Haven't you got a bus ticket?"
No - I came by car and I'm claiming mileage allowance, for the 80 mile round trip.
"How can you have a car and be on benefits came back the retort?"
I got my expenses - £12.60 but it was very hurtful - these idiots know nothing about an individual's background or circumstances.
I was taken aback and should have complained. I knew what I should have said by the time I came home.
Follow the advice on here and you'll beat the scammers.

prowla, please be more considerate, tygr has explained her situation, and she has come back to get help dealing with it. She does not need yet more aggressive posts and WE should not want her to go off again and be left to deal with this on her own. Did you not even notice that the post you quoted is nearly two weeks old, and she hasn't been back since, until tonight? Let's help her, eh?
I wasn't intending to be aggressive, but on a re-read it was a bit blunt, so if that's the way it came across then I sincerely apologize!
My first paragraph was saying that someone is trying to rip the OP off, and the second was intended to be flippant (but I didn't add a smiley!).
tygr - I fully support you in contesting this and I think the private parking companies are scum!
There is a genuine issue of parking in this country, but PPCs masquerading as authorities and blackmailing vulnerable people is not the solution. In my case, the availability of parking influences my choice of where I will go - if parking is a hassle then I'll choose elsewhere.0
