Parking Eye Charge in Aldi car park

Go for it, glad you are doing it word for word! :T
Yes the planning issue can be very revealing and is also your chance to tell the Planning Dept that the PPC are running a business in the car park, charging for parking when the stores are shut and also after certain time limits and for made up 'offences'. As such the car park should be subject to Business Rates of course...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So glad you came back tygr. Yes, do as C.M. says, she will not let you down.
As for planning permission, it's always worth looking into with Aldi, but only do it if you want to. Don't give yourself loads more hassle than you need. If you wanted to PM me which Aldi branch it is, I'd be happy to see if the relevant council has the planning documents on its website (I've checked a few over the last few weeks!)Je suis Charlie.0 -
I'm not feeling sorry for myself. I'm telling you the facts of the case.
I have a mental health problem, which falls under the Equality Act. I was ill at the time of the infringement. Ordinarily I wouldn't have parked in the car park for that length of time but I was upset and not thinking clearly. Having no money can do that to people.
I hate this site. People are so judgmental and aggressive. As they are on Facebook too. My Aldi post has already been highjacked by the anti unemployed brigade.
Read my words and stop projecting your own opinions onto them.
I know I effect up. I wouldn't let me off it. But £40 or £70 for parking in a 'free' car park that's never full seems excessive to me. The fact that I have no money just compounds my frustration.
If you've got £40 (or £70) free, then please just give it to me instead, and I'll spend it on beer.0 -
prowla, please be more considerate, tygr has explained her situation, and she has come back to get help dealing with it. She does not need yet more aggressive posts and WE should not want her to go off again and be left to deal with this on her own. Did you not even notice that the post you quoted is nearly two weeks old, and she hasn't been back since, until tonight? Let's help her, eh?Je suis Charlie.0

If I had the money, I'd buy some oil so I could have a hot bath without boiling a kettle, or pay off some debt but you did give me a laugh.
I've just looked at the planning records online and couldn't find anything when searching the street or the applicant. I have to go to the Council offices tomorrow to hand in my housing benefits docs so I'll see if I feel up to do a planning history search. Should bring back memories anyway...December 2010 wins - 12 month Four Four Two subscription; Alcatel OT 708 phone; Miffy cuddly toy; Nivea gift pack0 -
Good stuff tygr. The problem with council websites is a lot of them only have relatively recent stuff online.Je suis Charlie.0

Couldn't go shopping in Aldi today as the car park was full but the store looked empty through the window.
Hope the clamp down really hard on these fraudsters.0 -
tygr - welcome back, glad you're feeling better and stronger.
The forum won't let you down and will be alongside you all the way with this. Have you had a look at the Aldi FaceBook page, now some 4 weeks on there's still major complaints being lodged and Aldi appears to be staggering towards the ropes.
If you're a FB member, and you feel up to it, why not add your complaint to the burgeoning list.
We will guide you through this and to defeat PE at POPLA will no doubt give you (and us) immense satisfaction. Stick with it cariad. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Yep, I've already posted on the facebook page. Around the time I posted here the first time then again today.
The first time, I had someone reply to my post saying that I shouldn't even have a car if I'm unemployed! At the time, it made me cry (everything was) but now I just wonder why people have to judge and criticise other people to make themselves feel better?
And no, i won't feed the troll.December 2010 wins - 12 month Four Four Two subscription; Alcatel OT 708 phone; Miffy cuddly toy; Nivea gift pack0
