Watch out - they'll set the solicitors on you. Or threaten to, then wait until you shut up, and then do nothing at all. That's how they seem to operate.

Pressure on parliamentary members by their party whips/heirarchy - there is nothing new there. If she didn't agree she should have resigned from her party, after all it was their name that got her elected.

It was not a Parliamentary matter so she should not have been pressurised into anything!!! Typical DUP.... think they are untouchable....... DUP and their relationship with Property companies seems to be a recurring issue !!

Like the Standards and Privileges enquiry into Peter Robinson's financial dealings. Three years later and we are still waiting on the findings.

It's a joke, ancient Rome would have been less corrupt. No accountability, and we all vote on tribal lines to keep these scumbags in power because the kick with the same foot as us.

Will it ever see the light of day?????? They'll probably wait till he's retired on his nice big fat pension and living it up in his Villa in Florida !! Maybe just then they may possibly quietly release it.....

He should retire now, it's not like the scumbag needs the money, not after receiving half a million from a tiny piece of land he sold. Some profit when you think he bought the land from developer Fred Fraser for a fiver.

What's puzzling is the fact the land was valued at £75,000 when he bought it off the developer Fraser for a fiver. I mean there'd be no possibility the God fearing Robinson would be doing anything immoral here...

Sure his son can look after him in retirement. He works for another DUP MLA Jonathan Bell. It might look bad if Peter employed his own son. Nepotism never looks good in the eyes of God.

That's it Peter, keep it in the family. Who cares about the plebs? What do they know? You've proven you and your family can do what they like, they'll always vote for you because you kick with the right foot.

That's so true. I just think the DUP are the most obvious. Especially when it comes to Peter and Ian Jr. trying to help their developer friends out and getting handshakes in return.

Its bit like what I was saying in the tap water thread. We get awful customer service in some places but still we go back and give them our hard earned cash. We still vote for these people even though they’ve been exposed.

Time and time again our politicians have proved that when it boils done to it, all they are interested in doing is observing the status quo, and feathering their own nests and their family and friends nests.

Catholic or Protestant, it doesn't really matter. Their religion is elitism. The Catholic and Protestant working class can't be a part of that. They don't have the connections or the access. Our politicians won't let them.

There isn't a single statesman amongst them.

Ok replace parliamentary with party. It doesn't matter whether it is local or central government, in all of the UK they are run under party lines ie party members are expected to tow the line and support the party directives.
The only difference here is they have been caught out by a whistleblower!
