Hi everybody,
Still grey here but a bit warmer & a fair wind getting up..It brightened up a bit late afternoon yesterday so I went and weeded the garden, the weeds came up easily after all the rain
DNiece has just been for a coffee with DGN so I had to mop the floor again after he'd eaten his flaky pastie :rotfl:
Feel tired today- DH snoring  but I'm waiting in for a parcel so might have a bit of a rest.Fish for tea tonight I think,DGD can have some fish fingers and beans.Usual OS stuff going on but nothing exciting to report.Might turn 2 dresses I made for DGD into skirts-she's growing so fast they barely cover her nappy now, might have to add another frill on the bottom.Still got plenty of material.
Glad you enjoyed the concert Jackie- sounds good.
Halight-hope DD is better soon and her twin doesnt get it too.

I had a pleasant hour with my daughter around midday. She popped in to say hello. I don't think she's ever done that before, theres always been a reason but it was lovely that she thought about me. She's got 4 weeks to go till her due date.
Housework all done, bed freshly made (I didn't wash 'Youngests' bedding as he's only slept in it 2 nights) and the tea is prepped and ready.
Gave the drains a good clean and bleach. Theres some minor repair that needs doing on one of the drains.... Ive filed it under jobs to do and sent the picture to hubby.:D We have this system where I write down what needs doing and he does it when he has time. Theres no rush though.
The sun has finally come out and ive got the windows open. At this rate I might have to peel off a layer of clothing.
A good day indeed! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Afternoon all, some exciting news today as bf HAS been selected for the Europeans in August and the Swiss prep tournament next week! After all his pessimism that he wouldn't be selected he has been - I told him he would be. I'm so proud of him but will miss him a lot.
People find it strange now that I'm OK with him being away minimum of three days a week, for the Swiss tourny he will be away 7/8 days and for the Euros it will be 12/13 which will actually be the longest we have ever not seen each other for. I really want To go over to the Euros to watch but he's not keen in me flying alone or staying alone in a hostel no matter how hard I stress I will. Be fine!
He's just annoyed that we can't go on holiday together now this year - I don't mind as I've never really had holidays. We've been away to a caravan twice together and before that it was just two weeks camping, 4 days in Munich, 3 days at eurodisney, 2 (separate) day trips to eurodisney and a day trip to Aachen in Germany. Dad was a performance director and coach so he travelled a lot my whole life leaving me, older brother and mum at home as he was 'working'. I honestly don't mind but it upsets me that it upsets him. I've said we can just save up for an amazing holiday after Rio when he will get a longer holiday in his training schedule :-P
O/S wise I have achieved nothing this afternoon. Since I got home I have emptied his suitcase and put the contents and all the clean washing away. I need to think about cooking my tea!
At least with bf away so much we should save on groceries!************************************

Ye gods & little fishes, what a day.
Network's down, server's dead, no emails, no print facilities, 2 resignations & a punch up!
Went straight from work to DGC's school, collected 1 & left 1 at the disco, went back at 5, collected one & left one, went back at 6:30 collected 1, took them home, fed them, played games, Daddy arrived, I left came home, cooked tea, helped hubby move large broken tv.
It must be wine o'clock and I don't even drink wine
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester
