Good luck. And Remember the Deaf Old Lady at the Back. OK, I know you don't expect one of them in a first year HE class, but if anyone does have a hearing problem then speaking to the back of the room helps (don't shout) and don't gabble - speak slowly.
Nothing beats practising in front of a mirror or a friend! Good luck!Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
good luck!
having seen a few job interviews, the most common thing people try to do is put too much content in and then rush through it so that people don't follow. but then again, you want to be able to show what you know so it's a tough line to tread!
and don't go crazy with powerpoint animation things (at least that has gone down badly at places i've been in the past!)
but you'll be fab! you know your stuff so hopefully you'll knock them dead (and the glam outfit will help with that too!!)

Yeah - I only got 9 slides, 2 of which are the beginning and end ones, so I got plenty of time - over a minute to go through each one and I'm putting them on a handout so any details I miss are explained on the slides - i.e Can't go through all the attributes of the Political environment cos that would take forever!!!!
And I got minimal animation - just enough so it looks like I put some effort into it - Blinds entrance when I click on the slide - I hate spinning flashing things!!!!
Luckily we've had to do presentations all through the last 4 years so I have a rough idea on how to do one - LOL - It's just rehearsing it enough to sound professional and unrehearsed IYKWIM? And getting the nerves under control!!!!Noli nothis permittere te terere
