They'll want the item sent back to them first though! The buyer wants to 'destroy' (read keep and wear) the item.

Sounds like a new scam that buyers use.

Well it is a crime to sell copywritten /logo'ed ,fakes, counterfeits, call them whatever be it clothing, bags, shoes , DVDs , hair straighteners to name but a few things, and the ball is in the sellers court to prove they have actual genuine items for sale under UK law and the permission of the owner to sell new ones of them but , if ebay repaid the person their money back and intercepted the case then they were satisfied the buyer wasnt into some sort of scam, and there is no case to answer. If someone buys 2 shirts that are fake or 3 handbags they are entitled to get ALL their money back when they realise they are not real items, and ditch the items as they see fit, but Trading Standards would perhaps sieze and destroy them personally.

To be honest I don't think there can be many people out there who sell a large volume of designer/luxury items who haven't had some accusations. It really does seem to be the latest scam that buyers are trying to pull.
