Buying a New Car

That happened to me with a Ford Focus.
Years being told they were wonderful, such high quality, best drive in its class yada yada yada.
Finally bought one after an inadequate test-drive.
Spent the next two years cursing the car and cursing the barstards who recommended it to me. Hated that bloody car and was pleased when I drowned it in last year's floods.
Never again.0 -
Funny enough, I can tell the opposite side of this. In 1978 I was looking to buy my very first brand new car and had chosen a Chrysler Sunbeam after looking around the other main contenders (Renault 5, Ford Fiesta etc). At the time I had a VX Victor which was the biggest load of rubbish I had ever owned (well, in fact it was only the second car I had owned as I was only 18 at the time!) so I wanted to get shut asap. I had NOT even considered a Fiat due to the bad rep at the time.
But after ordering my new Sunbeam, Citreon took over Chrysler and the workers at the Scottish plant went on strike thus resulting in a phone call telling me my car was going to be delayed. But my VX was letting me down badly so I looked else where and eventually looked at Fiat 127. First Fiat I had ever sat in let alone driven but I was sold straight away. All that bad rep I had heard previously went straight out of the window and I have never looked back since.
I am currently on my 13th Fiat and would certainly not rule out on my next car being the 14th.PLEASE NOTEMy advice should be used as guidance only. You should always obtain face to face professional advice before taking any action.0 -

What did you hate about it? Just out of interest as I bought a Focus last year and absolutely love itMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)

Don't forget to knock off about a 1/4 from the manufacturers mpg figures.
The Kia Pic has a radio (basic model) I believe in the UK (not in Spain). No Spare wheel in Spain either, just a tube of gunge. Something to watch out for.0 -
