Not interested in the specials, then just input what you are after, e.g. New Fabia 1.2 TSI SE, £97630 -
Hi Guys,
I have decided to narrow it down to three cars so please advise on which is the best one to get and if you know of any current deals available.
Kia Picanto 3dr
Skoda CitiGo
Hyundai i20
Thanks very much for your replies!]]
i20 is bigger than the other two (i10 would be closest)
have a look here:

and compare all three.0 -
The i20 threw me too, i10 is a decent car, cheap and good warranty.0

If we're talking about spending nearly 10 grand, this would seem to me to be leagues ahead of Picantos, CitiGos and the like.
Those are the sort of cars you spend £7000 on -- not £10,000.0 -

It depends on how you look at it really.
The technological marvel that is the 1.4 (with a whopping 85ps squeezed out of it) belt driven 'Antique's Roadshow' engine isn't overly leagues ahead of very much - £125 'road tax' is a bit old hat for a small car.And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0 -
If I was going to buy a new small car then I would get a Kia Picanto or a Skoda Citigo. With Citigo probably just ahead.
I would avoid finance like the plague. You'd be better off getting a car that's only a year or two old that you could afford to pay for than getting a brand new car just for the sake of it on finance. You pay much more in the long run and the car will have already taken its biggest hit in depreciation.
That's just my opinion and I'm sure you may be in a position were this would be a good financial choice for you. I just know so many people that bought cars on finance that they couldn't really afford suckered in by low monthly repayments, not thinking about the full cost. They now have no disposable income at all and would have been so much better off choosing a car that they could afford.Mortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -

I partly agree with you about the finance side of it, although some manufacturers offer 'free insurance' or dealer contributions on brand new which can actually make the car cheaper to buy than a year old example for the right customer.
Buying nearly new works well on fleet models and larger vehicles, although small economical cars are a different matter entirely. They don't depreciate as badly and using an online broker will make that gap even smaller.
Worth looking at both ends of the market for a fair comparison.0 -
Get some test drives booked.
I had the opportunity to buy a car I had craved for years have always wanted one ever since they launched, yet when I drove the car I hated it.0 -
