I doubt it a select silver is still a basic account that you pay for the extra features and the ability to use any cash machine.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
All newly issued Natwest cards should now be contactless0

It's arrived and it's a ........................... Blue one no contactless.0

What did you expect? As stated the Select silver is still a basic account. You only get the contactless feature on the purple full offline visa card.
As your account is a basic one there not going to give you the offline one!!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Change banks and go to a bank that doesn't treat like a 16 yr old.
Ps. Try lloyds I'm sure they'll give you a contactless or Barclays.
You'll only get the contactless card with lloyds TSB or Barclays, if your credit score is good enough for them to trust you with one.
I have a friend who has a barclays account the same as I do his card starts 4658 which is the full online card and isn't contactless. Mine starts 4659 and is contactless and an ofline card (means it doesn't have to dial home to check funds are in the account).
If they can only offer you a basic account then you won't get a contactless card with these accounts either!Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -

The Select Silver account isn't a basic account. You can get the purple offline card with it, but some people don't.0 -

A Select silver is a basic account, its for those people who don't quite qualify for a select account. If you read on this forum there are lots of people who had the step account and can only upgrade to this account even after running there accounts with natwest perfectly for many years.
None of them have the Purple card on this type of account, also a friend of mine whom works for Natwest says it is a basic account and is aimed at those people with step accounts whom want to be able to use all cash machines and not just Natwest/RBS group cash machines.Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0
