    Oooo duckies, yum! I usually just have them poached on toast but they do make a mean omlette :) never tried them in a cake, they don't tend to last long enough :o :rotfl:

    As or the lamb, was thinking maybe kebabs so have been looking for a nice marinade, there's 3 bags of it somewhere in the freezer so will continuing seeking out inspiration.. This is my downfall, so much stuff in just lack inspiration on what to do with it and however lovely my stews are I'm bored of the same thing! It's something new to us really as until this year I've never used lamb apart from mince, we've almost lived on beef and chicken when it comes to main meat for several years.
    One day I might be more organised...........:confused:

    Hello - my plan for the week:

    Saturday - French onion quiche, smoked salmon and brocolli quiche, HG salad, HG new potatoes with mint; chocolate yogurt cake, stewed rhubarb, cream and shortbread stars.

    Sunday - out to Betty's in York for high tea, so cheese/ham, etc for supper.

    Monday - chicken pie, new potatoes, salad

    Tuesday - chilli

    Wednesday - chinese stir fried vegetables with almonds, served with noodles

    Thursday - salmon fish cakes, new potatoes, salad

    Friday - DH is home, so we'll take him out

    Making chocolate and banana muffins, welshcakes and drop scones for breakfast. DD will take leftover quiche in her lunch box.

    Sat: HM Pepperoni Pizza and HM Cheesy Garlic Bread (which incidently as it was eaten last night - DH told me it was better than Dominos :T )
    Sun: Toad in the Hole with roasties, veg and gravy
    Mon: Cornbeef Hash with a Poached Egg on top
    Tue: Spag Bol and Garlic Bread
    Wed: Spanish Chicken and Rice
    Thu: Chilli and Cornbread
    Fri: Sausage and Pasta Bake
    Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
    Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    sunday.....shepherds pie ,green beans ,carrots ,peas.

    monday....bacon and mushroom pasta , garlic bread.

    tuesday...chicken tonight ,new pots ,veggies.

    wednesday..jacket spuds ,cheese or tuna fillings or both.

    thursday..omlette ,chips ,salad

    friday....roast beef ,mash ,yorks puds ,veggies.

    saturday...whatever takes our fancy .

    I've yet to stick to a plan - too impulsive - but there's hope.


    Sun: BBQ leg of lamb with pilau rice and salad
    Mon: Indian veg curry night - either chickpea or blackeyed pea curry, some sag aloo, with homemad yoghurt and roti
    Tue: Spanish omlette, salad
    Wed: Niciose - Tuna salad
    Thu: Chilli , tortilla, salad
    Fri: Pasta al forno
    Sat: Pizza


    Loads of fruit and veg on top.

    Hiya all, here is our plan for the following week

    Saturday meal out bought by my new (male) friend
    Sunday hm chicken pie mash and veg
    Monday chicken pasta
    Tuesday hm fishcakes hm wedges and mixed veg
    Wednesday beef caserole
    Thursday cottage pie and veg
    Friday sausage/pasta bake
    Saturday mince rice and veg

    breakfast are weetabix,shreddies or toast
    lunch was chicken soup now just sandwichs

    making cakes and biscuits sunday
