Just the evening meals as usual from me, trying to use up instead of buy so here goes, kid options available where they can't/won't have what we are. After a rethink have done mine until next Sunday as we're away from the Monday. Lunches will be soups, sandwiches, toasties, salad etc. Fruit salads etc for desert where needed and snacks will be fruit. Might make some sausage rolls too as have sausage meat and pastry to use up.

Saturday - Quorn fillet with veg and rice for me, DP at work so having burgers or something before he goes
Sunday - Toad in the hole with veg
Monday - Fish with chips and veg
Tuesday - Thai style chicken with veg and rice
Wednesday - Looking for inspiration with cubed lamb apart from stew
    Thursday - Out
    Friday - Chilli with rice
Saturday -Beef ravioli in tom and veg sauce with garlic bread
Sunday - Jamaican Jerk chicken with peppers, onions, mango salsa and tortilla wraps (will use half the spices this time :o golly that was hot last time)

So going from that I need potatoes for chips etc, milk, eggs, yoghurt, something to go with the lamb if needed, bread for lunches (will bake a few loaves this weekend) fresh veg (delivered Thursday with the fruit) sandwich meats for us and DSs lunch box. Bet I end up buying more than I need!
One day I might be more organised...........

I don't usually plan what I'm going to have - I'm just cooking for myself and just make my mind up on the way home - but I bought some very nice organic meat etc last week because it was reduced - want to try and plan so I can decide what to take out to defrost on which morning! Oh and I'm not planning to do any shopping until next Friday/ Saturday, except maybe some more salad stuff.

I've got a couple of Aberdeen Angus burgers in the fridge so they'll have to go first (why did I not just take one out of the freezer? )

Saturday - One of burgers chopped up in a tomato & veg sauce (a la meatballs), served with rice.
Sunday - Other burger with homemade spicy potato wedges and salad.
    Monday - Turkey pasta
Tuesday - Steak, new potatoes, veg/ salad
Wednesday - Thai curry (using other bit of turkey), rice
Thursday - Probably some sort of veggie pasta dish
Friday - dunno, might be out, might buy something on way home.. ooh decisions decisions... :p

    Hi,

Well this will be my first attempt at a meal plan.
This is something that I really need to do because I must reduce the huge amount that I have been needlessly spending on groceries, I must admit to having enough food in the house to feed a small country, but due to lack of planning, I have a habit of just nipping to the shops to get something quick:o Not MSE at all, especially when there are 6 of us:eek:

    So here goes:

Sat: Bolognese wraps - Bananas in custard

Sun: Stuffed breast of lamb, runners(from last years crop),cabbage, cauli, carrots and roast potatoes - Milk jelly

Mon: Gammon pasta bake - Tinned mixed fruit

Tues: Toad in the hole, mashed potaotes, carrots, broccoli and cabbage - Maccaroni pudding

Wed: HM quiche and salad - HM lemon merangue pie

Thurs: Stuffed cabbage leaves and red rice - Slow cooker rice pudding

Fri: Steak and veg pudding, new potatoes, cauliflower, cabbage and carrots - Tinned pears in sponge cake

    Breakfasts: Cereals,porridge or toast
Lunches: Egg sandwichs, pilchards on toast,HM veg soup, left over gammon sandwiches and fresh fruit

Only need and will ONLY buy fresh milk, fruit, veg and pet food.

    Some scrummy mealplans there:D

I have some eggs that need using, specifically duck eggs...any ideas? Could they be used in a quiche? I was thinking of making some muffins tomorrow, but would they be too rich in something like that? I know they make wicked omelettes if all else fails;)
