It's not a scam! I have just had my last holiday with club seasons. I 'won' in december last year and paid the £157 maintenance. Luckily it paid off. i have enjoyed two lovely holidays, a weekend in whitbarrow village and a week at brunston castle. I won't be paying next year because you can't have school holidays. But if you have a chance to go do take it up. the accomodation is gourgous (mind the spelling) and is well worth the money. i would only do it for the first year though and you only have to go to one talk. it isn't a scam and i will be writing on every website i can to tell people to go for it because it is money well spent. if any one wants photos pm me and i'll email them.Winnings: John Deere Model Tractor:j

Natwil, I haven't been on a holiday with clubseasons but in my opinion, its a scam/ marketing ploy for a timeshare.
Despite having "won" a prize, you are asked to pay a maintenance fee to get your holiday. They will also want to know if you are married or in LTR, how much you earn and your age before inviting you to their presentation. (apart from age, what have the other thinsg to do with winning a holiday?)
If you feel like winding them up, phone the freephone number they've sent you and say you're over the moon at winning since your partner has left you as you've been unemployed for a year. From MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

mpython i wasn't asked those questions! It's the membership people win and it's £157 which have to pay. That's pretty good for nice accomadation for a week and a weekend's holiday! it isn't a scam and you can't say that if you haven't tried it and i have!Winnings: John Deere Model Tractor:j

£157? I thought you said its £159 in another post?
Whatever it is, its still too much to pay a promoter to receive a prize which you've "won". & maybe you weren't asked those questions because they already had the answers from the initial sifting/ myoffers form.
& just because I haven't been doesn't mean I can't have an opinion or think its a scam. That's like saying because I've never been to India I can't think its a nice country.
I've had all too many eager young things offering me this type of prize over the years, and my in-laws are saddled with a very expensive white elephant of a timeshare at a 5* resort which they can't sell or give back and the yearly fees have grown over 450% in the last 10 years. So please don't try & convince me that its a good deal. Its simply not moneysaving.
I think, however, Martin, who owns & runs this site says it best:-Don't touch them with a bargepoleFrom MSE Martin - Some General Tips On Holiday Home Organisations and Sales Meetings

I've "won" two of these fabulous(?) holidays in the last week. My husband has, however, won two real holidays in the last few years. The main difference is that with real wins, we had unexpected extras throughout, and neither cost us a penny. I'm glad crazychick enjoyed her holidays, but I don't think it is really a "win" if it costs anything. I love mpython's suggestion though!...Do you also try to sell double glazing to the door to door reps when they pester you.."I'm so glad you dropped by, can I ask, are you looking to replace your windows in the next 12 months...?" I suppose in some people's eyes it's not a win. But it isn't a scam. It's just like most time share things. You pay a cheap price to try out their accomadition.Winnings: John Deere Model Tractor:j
