Travel Insurance for internal flight in USA?

Comments

  • @duchy - We'll be staying in New York for a week before heading down to New Orleans. We have booked a separate internal flight for this. We will have a connecting flight on the way back home from New Orleans. That's also an incredibly good point, the cost of another internal flight would be the same as the excess anyway.

My main concern is really baggage, now that I've seen that rebooking a flight should it be cancelled would be the same as the excess. I guess I'll have to check if this is covered on my home insurance also, like photome said. And like you said medical expenses in the US would be covered by any policy I get.

@RachVG, I think annual cover might be the best idea. I guess I'll just have to sift through all the difference policies and find what suits.

Thanks for all of the replies!
