Resident parking v Business vehicles parking

Public road anyone is allowed to park where they want.
Many years ago when I was renting a room in a house the neighbour objected to me parking in front of his house as he said it spoiled the view, he had a drive where he parked his Volvo ( as you might guess)
So I borrowed a box van for a week or so. strangely he never complained again.
