Its the leisure industry we have an employee representative but he was voted in by himself and just so happens to be golfing buddys with two manager's lol. Slso doesn't answer the phone
An employee representative is not the same as a union rep.
Go here: http://www.worksmart.org.uk/unionfinder/
Find the most appropriate union and join tomorrow. They can advise you on issues like this and offer many other benefits to members.0 -
I take it your much subs is under HMRC guidance?
The car thing is normal, apart from the DD - you can refuse a car and use your own or a pool car for example.0 -

Have no clue on the lunch subsidy it completely baffles me we dont get money for lunch it just goes on our wage slip0 -
Do have another car but the company badgered me at the beginning to use vehicle privatelyYou might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'0

Then quite straightforward, I think, either they sort out the DD to something more suitable or you cease private use.
Yes that is an option but as I said when I first started they said it looks better to have around fifty miles private as I was new I liked to comply as you can undertake0 -
If they have taken too much money from your bank by direct debit, you simply need to inform your bank that [identify which] DD was unauthorised and you wish to reclaim under the DD guarantee. The bank will refund your account and take it up with your employer.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

With regards to the lunch subsidy it may be similar to a company I used to work for where I was field(home) based but the factory staff at the head office had a negotiated subsidised canteen. As field staff were unable to take advantage of this (being all over the country) we were given a lunch subsidy allowance per day unless we were at head office for a meeting for example and could use the canteen. Can't remember how much it was, somewhere around £0.90 per day I think but this was about 10 years ago.0
