Orange contract ending, and have been offered an S3 Titanium, 200 mins, unltd text, 1gb data, all on EE, 4G.
This for £23.25. (Think over 24m, but agent calling me back next week)
Looks ok looking round. Virgin would be £25 for 1200 mins (only use 100 max), unltd text, 1gb data, but also including insurance (worth £7.99 they say?)
Actually, writing this, the Virgin may sound better.....
Any thoughts please!

This isn't on EE4G.
It's on Orange.
Not a bad deal at all. See if you can get the original S3 (the non LTE version) off them at a cheaper price though.0 -
He certainly was selling it as being on EE4G? Mentioned the speed etc.O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us.

Doesn't sound right to me. If it was EE4G you'd have unlimited minutes and you'd be paying a lot more.
Did you have any discounts on your orange line.
Were they percentage discounts? Or were they £ off discounts?0 -
The only discount I had was a 25% perks discount?O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us.

Ok that makes more sense.
Because you have a percentage discount that will carry over to EE4G. Let me explain fully.
For new customers, it's £31pm + £99 upfront for the Galaxy S3 LTE. Because you have a percentage discount you get a 25% loyalty discount carried over. That takes the price down to £23.25pm. Then what the sales guy has done is knocked off the upfront cost and put you on the "double data" deal. Basically it means you get double the data a new customer would get (500mb) so you get 1GB.
When the guy rings back tell him the above and get him to confirm this is exactly what he has done and the 25% discount and double data deal apply. Then get him to confirm you will actually be getting unlimited minuted and a brand new 4G Sim. If he says yes then you are 100% on 4GEE.
I have to say that's a really nice deal for EE there. I would say though that do you need 4G? It just provides faster data speeds and that's it. And it's only in some areas so far. If not then you can probably ask the guy to give you a deal on orange 3G and he should be able to lower the price even more for you.0 -
Really helpful, thanks. Will give that a go.O would some power the giftie gie us to see ourselves as others see us.
