I'm going to Toronto from 22-26 November and have booked the Marriott Eaton Centre hotel. The best rate on the Marriott website was CAD $229 per night + tax, which came to CAD $1044.34 in total including tax, approximately £458. https://www.find-rooms.com had the same deal for £283 in total, including taxes. I booked with Marriott and then submitted a claim under their 'Best Rate Guarantee'. They agreed the claim, matched the rate on find-rooms and then discounted it by 25%. The total for my reservation is now CAD $495.35, approximately £220.

Have a look at THIS guide for details of how to use Marriott's Best Rate Guarantee.

priceline is a bit more of a faff but you could get a real bargain, you bid, they reject, you rebid they accept etc etc, can be a pain but if you start low then you could get it....

We favoured hotwire and the Delta sticks out like a sore thumb due to it advertising 'Childrens facilities' (eg separate swimming pool and creche for them)

Many thanks Nelly - for links and I think we share same interest. Many thanks Glenn for Marriot advice & Soozy - I will check out Metropolitan. Very informative people over here.

Another vote for the Sheraton here. We stayed there for our honeymoon last month and it was perfect. Location was fab, we booked it with Canadian affair and it was £65 ish a night, and theres free internet access in the lobby for guests which came in very handy

If your going to Canadas wonderland you can get the subway to Yorkmills or Yorkdale and then get the dedicated GO bus to wonderland. I think it was $5 each way for the bus and then the underground will be $2.75 each way. Theres also a large outlet shopping mall about 15/20 minutes walk from Wonderland called vaughan mills which is really good.

And here (although it's 4 years since I stayed there). A vote for Canadian Affair too, I've used them for two holidays now and been very pleased.
