Beware of T-Mobile PAYG Mobile Dongle

For some years, I have had a T-Mobile dongle for use with my netbook when I go away. I wasn't sure how much I would use it, so T-Mobile suggested that I have on on a Pay as You Go system, which meant that it cost me £2 per day when I used it, had to top up when necessary, and they assured me there was no time limit on the top up, in other words, it would never expire. I topped it up with what I thought was a reasonable sum, and used it very successfully for years. Last month, I just checked on my balance online, and found I had somewhere in the region of £15 credit. This didn't worry me unduly, as I had not planned to use any of it for the time being. However, by chance, when I checked my account today, my balance was NIL, and they hadn't even had the courtesy to let me know, never mind what they said about the credit never expiring! I consider this very sharp practice and will not be using them again. I have emailed them, but I don't expect a positive response. What a way of making money and a rip-off!

Were there any T&C's with the original offer? Did you read them?I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

You need to use it at least once every six months. Did you? It's in the Terms and Conditions.
If you did, then call them and they will reinstate your credit. In fact, if it was still showing last week, call them anyway, they can still reinstate. But be nice, eh?0
