Am i right in assuming this phone from the below speeds specs

Speed HSDPA 14.4 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps

will not support 3 and its higher speeds on the network ?

No it won't, you need DC-HSPDA to get the 'ultrafast' Three talks about. Then comes HSDPA+ which is 21Mbps (DC-HSDPA is basically two HSPA+ connections at once).

So it will support 3 just fine, but you will top out at 14.4Mbps, which isn't that bad to be fair.

  • There will be an LTE version in October by all accounts. All the reviews I've met that mention the connection speeds do back up the OPs belief that this will go to 14.4 'only'. But if you get anywhere near that in use then you couldn't complain.

Ps The P6 looks absolutely beautiful BTW. I genuinely think Huawei will be the next big name in mobiles. They are a massive company anyway and now seem determined to shake up the market. Competition is good.

Bit disappointing when compared to other handsets.

But it;s fast enough for the average user.
