I need help fast.
I've never had a mobile phone contract - always used a company phone. (have been made redundant) I now need to get a mobile phone & contract and am confused with the best money saving deal.
I have a pact code to transfer my work mobile numer.
I think I'll probably need around 100 mins talk & 100 text.
Can you advise
thanks

Probably your best bet is the O2 Talkalot SIM - 100 xnet minutes free and £10 credit left for your 100 texts - £10pcm month all in. These are sometimes FREE - if you decide to go for this, I'm sure you'll get one free off someone.
Whoops - sorry didn't pay enough attention to your post - you want a phone and contract for this - there's a deal through several suppliers for a free Nokia 3120 and free 12 months line rental. This is from £25-£30pcm then cashback - probably Onestopphoneshop is the most reliable since its now part of CPW.

Here are te details of the others - from Reestit's website - the mobileshop is £25pcm but free assuming cashback and fills the 100 mins and 100 texts.

just to add to the above IF you willing to pay 25-30 line rental i would want better phone than 3120
e.g D500
nokia 6230i coming very soon
Virgin do bundles where you get so many minutes and texts but no contract to sign
and if you just want pay as you go virgin let you pay by direct debit wjich very good as you don'yt need to top up
they will let you keep the number and again no contract
customer service is very good too

However you are not actually paying £25-30 line rental as you get it all back as cashback. You are paying £0 line rental after cash back - and you aint gonna get those phones you mentioned for that price.0 -
maybe this?

You're right - D500 can be had for a little over £8pcm through a cashback deal.
http://www.e2save.com/mobile/phones/disphandset.php?network=orange&handset=D500
This and the Nokia 6230 deal (£5pcm) are the best cashback deals right now - but for the completely free package you're not going to get better than a Nokia 3120.0 -
If you want 100 mins and 100 texts then I'd advise:
http://www.mobileshop.com/mobile-phones/orange/pay-monthly/nokia-3120.php/PORANG31200009
(12 months cashback again).
First 3 months you'll get 200 mins and 200 texts.
Its from mobileshop so I would assume you'd get better CS that OSPS, but both deals are very good.
Also, with both of these deals remember than they are CASHBACK meaning, you have to have the funds to pay it for at least 3 months before you can claim.
Good luck.0 -
anyone bought from thephoneworld.com their deal on d500 comes with 500mins 19.99 month and free ericson with 400 mins for 6 months.

I've never heard of them until now. Deal is quite confusing TBH. The deal involves a ORANGE FAMILY, which means you are getting at least 2 different contracts when signing up, so don't expect to be able to have all the free mins on one number, they are likely to be spilt over the 2.0
