rented property and gardening

If the landlord wants to continue to provide a gardener then that's ok, but are they required to give us notice?
I am happy for people to give me free stuff with no notice. I dont understand why you wouldnt be.
Now, if he plans on sending you a bill for gardening, thats quite a different thing0 -
Notice of what?

notice that the gardener is coming, in the same way they'd need to give us notice that they wanted to visit the property for an inspection etc.0 -
If the gardener doesn't need access via the house, why would the landlord feel they have to give you notice?
To be honest I think you're focusing on the wrong thing here.0 -
because its my private garden and i could be out there sunbathing topless etc0
-
I find it quite intrusive to come home only find someone has been in my garden and cut down plants and bushes without my prior knowledge.0

In which case take the advice given a number of times and have a discussion with your landlord about it!0
-
a lot of people have missed my point of can the landlord access the garden without telling me first?
Jees this the problem with forums sometimes you ask a simple question and everyone gets hooked on the other information you provide.0 -
*sigh* IF the gardener does not need access to the property in order to carry out the gardening then they do not need to ask your permission or give you notice that it's going to be carried out.0
-
Oh please!
If you talk with the landlord you can tell him you do not want him to access the garden without letting you know first!
You have a couple of choices
1. Keep moaning on an Internet forum where it actually doesn't matter if we say he can or he can't, he will do what he wants and if you don't like it he can ask you to move on!
2. talk with him an make a mutually agreeable arrangement.
I don't understand why you won't just talk to him.0 -
I dont have his number nor will my agency give it to me.0
