Can you do more than one ten thousand faster payment from your Barclay's account on the same day?

No I don't think so, that's their daily limit

You can not exceed a total of £10K in faster payments each day via OLB, but you can via telephone or branch, but the later will charge you to do so!

Only if you've got a joint account with separate log ins, then you can.

If you need to do a same day transfer for more than £10K you need to go in branch and pay £25 for a CHAPS transfer.

To make payments over this limit, contact your branch for help. The Online Banking Helpdesk cannot set up payments for you.

For transfers between your own Barclays accounts, the limit is £250,000 per transaction.

You will be given two months' notice of any change in these arrangements.

Note the weasel wording that suggests it must go up!

I see that the Payments Council show Barclays as having increased their FP limit from £10k to £25k for retail customers:

I don't know when they started to do this as they give the last update date as 16 Oct 2012 (which is clearly wrong). The £25k limit is shown on their Google cached page from 27 Jul 2013 so it can't be any later than then.

Searching the Barclays site (like the link above) all I can find is references to £10k. Has anyone tried transferring over £10k to see if this works ?

I've not tried it online, but their staff certainly know nothing about it. I tried to make a payment last week and was told that I could use internet banking for free for upto 10K, or ask the branch to do it for £25, but an unlimited amount.

Last week I tried a payment of a tenner after a £10,000 payment the same day and it told me I had exceeded the limit, I can't remember exactly which day though

Separate £10,000 limits per day for telephone/online banking.

Branch faster payment limit is £25,000. Anything over this is sent as a CHAPS payment.

These limits are for standard Retail customers, different limits apply for Premier/Business customers.
