What is the next step if you still absolutely refuse to let them in. I am several floors up and have an intercom. I will not buzz them them in no matter what warrant they have.

My question is what happens next, can they get the police involved if they have a warrant from the court?

The bailiff attends with a locksmith. Police can be called to be present but this is more likely if there has been a threat or previous history of violence.

My locks are very secure. But thanks for the heads up. I am going to upgrade even more, thankfully my flat has one seriously heavy duty front door.

So what would happen after the lock smith just can not make entry?

Only a Bailiff with a warrant can come in. But even then thats only if you let them in or they come in thru an open door/window.

As for debt collection agents, your paper boy has more legal powers to be on your property. Tell them to !!!! off and write to you,

You can trust that a locksmith will be able to get in. That may take drilling out the lock if it really is too tough to open in any other way.

hang on are they after money. or are they after changing your meters disconnecting them. if just after the money then they have no right to force entry. ie locksmiths. if the second they do. with the correct paperwork of course.

Nobody but Government agencies acting under legislation can break and enter any private dwelling, a locksmith can only use non destructive entry, once they break or damage anything, they break common law.

To be honest Bailiffs are trained how to fool you in to giving them entry and if you open the door they usually get inside.
    Be happy...;)

So do not let them in no matter what? Sometimes they say "I have a legal document here you must let me in" I say well Im certainly not letting you in then, I do not want to get involved with that. I dispute the claim they say I owe them and its my choice that I do not want to talk through the intercom. Tell them to call me and arrange an appointment.......
What is the (alleged) debt you are hiding from?

Once bailiffs come, the matter will have been to court and all disputing will be done and dusted. The only issues left will be if the bailiffs are after you for someone else's debt or if for some reason you did not get a fair chance to ahve your day in court. There are legal processes to deal with that

But we really need to know whether it is bailiffs or debt collectors - either way, there is no point in spending money on ever stronger locks.
You might as well ask the Wizard of Oz to give you a big number as pay a Credit Referencing Agency for a so-called 'credit-score'

Been getting many final notices for over a year now. But I can tell the heat is getting turned up.

Latest one today I did not answer the door so they left another final notice bailiff removal.

then it says- total outstanding debt (£Much higher than I last saw)

I have attended the property today with the intention of removing goods in respect of above debt.

I will return on 7/7/13 and may remove goods or vehicles without further notice and even in your absence.

Do not ignore this letter. Contact me now.

I have been getting similar for over a year now, never answer the door to someone I don't know. What can I do to last another year or so until the six year aniversary.

Also one of the last bailiffs to call has ticked my mailbox.

Any idea what this means, and I have tried to wash it off but its hard to get off.

Its like a big nike tick, what does that mean?

O.K. guys and girls...try this one out for size....

Back in 2009/12 (yes,it went on for 3+ years),I had my house re-possessed (unlawfully and fraudulently in my view). At the time,I also had a personal loan,a credit card balance and an overdraft. At the time that the house was 'stolen',I had virtually zero money,so I 'defaulted' on all the other loans etc.

Now.....the unpaid 'loans' etc were purchased by a certain Marlin Europe (yeah,I know)...who have been trying to co-erse (?) me into paying them monies that I 'owe' to THEM .....
A couple of days ago,I received a letter from their in house solicitors....one 'Mortimer Clarke Solicitors' stating that if I don't contact them within 7 days, then they will apply for a 'Charging Order' to secure the debt against my property.....

Now,here's the thing......I no longer own any property,I don't officially even rent any property,I am no longer on the electoral register. I have not voted for around 30 years and am actively / gradually removing myself from 'the system' completely ! (That's how totally dis-illusioned (being extremely polite) I am with the whole corrupt 'system!).
I have had a look around the 'net tonight and as far as I can see, these 'Charging Orders' are levied against property...i.e. bricks and mortar.... Can they be applied to any other form of 'property',i.e. cars etc ??

Given that I already am fully aware that these leeches are '3rd party interlopers' and that there has never been ANY contract between myself/my person and Marlin/Mortimer Clarke, then how do they hope to possibly enforce any of their nonsense !??

I would appreciate all your opinions on this matter....and how you would proceed....

p.s. I am loathe to even entertain the courts at all, given the downright corruption and wrongful behaviour by the same, during the re-possession debacle !!

I really feel for you. But am impressed with your smart attitude.

My advice is hang in there. In time they will realize they have been out maneuvered and it is not worth their resources chasing you any more.

I am very interested in what you say about removing yourself from the system.

I sometimes laugh when a one of my debt companies chasing me threaten me with 'if your not careful this could affect your credit rating' :rotfl: My credit rating could not be worse and I dont care.

Some say in six years it will all be washed away and clean slate but I still dont care about their system, I have been totally disillusioned by the system.

As far as I am concerned I have paid back more tha I borrowed over the years, everything else they say I still owe is just charges, and I dont care how long it takes I will hold out until they stop chasing me or I die of old age.
