Debt collectors & bailiffs

So that is bailiffs but are there other debt collectors that can bring a warrant or something to things from your home?

If a CCJ is granted and you pay up within a month the record of the CCJ is removed from the register.

Delara, one exception is a bailiff if they have previously been granted entry and have made an initial levy (taking legal custody) while inside, normally then confirmed with a walking possession agreement that is used to prove that they did the levying. In theory they could levy without WPA while inside. Even after that they would normally make an appointment for the visit in which they would then follow during that visit with forced entry if they weren't allowed in.

So do not let them in no matter what? Sometimes they say "I have a legal document here you must let me in" I say well Im certainly not letting you in then, I do not want to get involved with that. I dispute the claim they say I owe them and its my choice that I do not want to talk through the intercom. Tell them to call me and arrange an appointment.......

A legal document = any document involved in a legal process. Including any written by them or any order to pay or statement from a court.

"A legal document" is not the same as a court ordering you to let them in. They are using that wording to conceal their lack of ability to compel you to let them in.

So is it possible for someone to have a legal document saying the court orders you to let them in? What if you still do not let them in, what happens then

Yes if its a utilitys warrant
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

What is the next step if you still absolutely refuse to let them in. I am several floors up and have an intercom. I will not buzz them them in no matter what warrant they have.

My question is what happens next, can they get the police involved if they have a warrant from the court?
