    Just get a proof of posting from the PO. Costs nothing (I believe) and should give you all the evidence you need that you have responded.

    Just worried they might claim they didn't receive my appeal and then just send another notice reminder.

    There is a fair chance they will twig what a recorded delivery letter is and refuse to sign.

    So do as suggested

    Good news! ParkingEye have dropped the charge.

    Many thanks to anyone who offered advice. It was appreciated, as I was considering paying until I visited the forum.

    They didn't give a reason.

    "We can confirm that this charge has now been cancelled there is no outstanding payment due on this account"
