Linked Addresses

I've got about 24 linked addresses on my file
I have moved a fair bit and first thing I do is get on the voters role, but I've not moved that much.....most are duplicates.
It doesn't affect your ability to get credit, my experian score :rotfl: or financial vetting.
But still I don't like the fact experian hold addressed and publicise stuff, they really shouldn't. I don't have any data linked back to the addressed 7+ years ago. They go as far back as when I first started my credit life at 19!!!!0 -
I have to disagree. Linked addresses do matter. I have moved around a fair bit and lived in Germany for s while, On my return I checked my file and found OVER 12 addresses linked to me where I had never even lived. These addresses were admin errors and were registered in a way that the dates overlapped on some of them...making it look like I had lots of debt at lots of addresses ...non of it was correct and left me being turned down for a mortgage. I would say linked addresses need correcting. Dont ignore them unless they have the right info on. Also the only CRA that showed the linked addresses up was call credit. I was using The other two and notjing was registered with them. Really important to check all three reports. They can hold different data.0

That isn't the same. What you describe, is clearly someone at the CRA mixing your data with someone else's, so you have a fused report.
Thus showing you had debt which was not yours and misleading address info. That would've caused your mortgage decline.
What op is on about is totally different.0 -

Hi Thankyou. What I meant was its important to check that the data is correct under the linked addresses. Just because they are old doesnt mean lenders will not investigate accounts held there that could be linked to you. If there are no mistakes then linked addresses are fine and dormant. In my case I was unaware of them as they were only recorded by call credit.0
