wont bore with details BUT can a boiler that currently runs using lpg also be used to run normal gas?

Most gas appliances can be modified to run between the 2 gases. It's usually a case of changing the jet hole size - this of course will need to be done by a gas safe engineer. The manufacturer (you don't say who it is) will usually sell a kit if you contact them with the make & model.0 -
